Well that ain't the entire reason, the other reason is that AAMU can't get any attractive schools to play them. They have been wanting a game with a MEAC school since they entered the SWAC and they have yet to accomplish that goal. L_W_Y

AAMU posters,

Are these true statements (objectivity please)?

Have we pursued games with MEAC opponents...Yes. Does our not having been able to secure one on schedule have to do with them having a lowly opinion of AAMU...only if you listen to tp.

Objectivity? Surely you don't use that word in relation to anything tarzan has to say about AAMU, do you? You shouldn't.

We have tried to get MEAC oppnents, but the schedules never match. When we had FAMU situated, they went and asked for more money and decided they wanted to play on a neutral site. We couldn't get a decent number and they went elsewhere and so did we!

TP, don't know what he speaks of JRock. Don't start giving him credit for things that he just spits out. If you give him that much credit he will forever think that jsu will be back to old under Bell. He's gonna have a stroke holding in his true feelings about Bell. I feel sorry for him. :smh:

I see alot of hate from Tigerpride. Johnny Cole fits right into the AAMU system. They play lights out defense, but have struggled putting points on the board. J.C Cole at coordinator, makes this team a contender for a SWAC Championship. I see bigger things happening as AAMU if J.C is added to the staff. He has proven himself to be a offensive GURU. JSU, ASU, TSU, look for AAMU to score big if you should happen to be on the schedule. The HOBO offensive could be coming your way, strap up!!!!!!

My pity for him has run out. After so much ignorance and stupidity is exhibited, you kinda find it hard to muster up any kind of sympathy.

Now, if he consented to getting some help........

If TP weren?t sniffing them chemicals at work, he would realize that we have played Howard and Hampton in Huntsville during the 90's when we were in the SAIC. So the relationship has existed between the schools long ago. The 9 game mandate makes it hard to play anyone. The rivalry with TnSU is growing so that has been our best option. The 90-mile distance between the schools is a plus.

I believe those MEAC schools would be suprised at the level of competiton that AAMU brings to the table. Sorry to hear about the FAMU deal but that is a decent series you all have going with TNST.

The series w/TnSU is actually a "renewal" of sorts. From about 1974-75 through 1987, the Tigers were a regular on our schedule. After their program moved up to the OVC, the games were not as frequent...if at all. Our joining the SWAC allowed us to re-establish a home and home contract.

Asberry was not retained by Bell because that is not the type of offense that Bell wants to run. JC will not be hired by Jones because that is not the type of offense that Jones would like to run. If you read carefully, Jones is going to have a lot of say in the offense. And actually, I see it just like a lot of others, AAMU's offensive scheme was not really that bad...they just put all of the talent on the defensive side of the ball.

And to the people who brought my name up in this BAMA thread, just know that in 2005, without a doubt, JSU will be in Bham.

What kind of offense is Bell running Tigerpride? JSU was ranked #1 in the nation in total offense in 2002 before dumb BELL's arrival. The offense was ranked 106th in 2003 and now it is ranked 107th in 2004. Also, based on that play calling at the end of the Alcorn, I thought maybe by now you have realized along with everyone else that BELL is not head coaching material. If we let him stay at JSU, our football team will always be below average.

Weren't they D2 then? Why won't any of them play you now? The mandate is actually helping AlaState to get some exposure. Don't know why they are complaining about it. With JSU, SU, Grambling and Alcorn tied up with only two non-conference alternatives, promoters now have to turn to the second teir schools.

And TNState is only playing AAMU because ya'll are the only school to accept that payout for the JMC. I remember about three years ago when they would not play ya'll.

and MH, worry about Tuskegee. Don't worry about the teams our our schedule that you couldn't beat anyway.

Did that win us a championship? A SCG berth? A top 25 ranking?? Well, we were obviously doing something wrong. What is the point of having the #1 offense when you can only use it to beat teams with losing records?
