THANKS! but NO THANKS! I was at the BC and SCG. SU fans called the man everything but a child of God.

Don't pay any attention to those S.U. fans. This man was an OC for several SWAC championships. AAMU need this man to put some spark in their offense. You all better grab him before someone else does! Do you know that Pete ran Johnny Cole off in favor of Orlando?

I dont know whether to just LMAO or smh at that crap.
I'll do both!

MH:

You will have a different type of smile on that face after the next MCC. Apparently, your memory is short. The Bees lost the MCC and backed into the SCG last year, and only made it this year because we could not muster a couple of first downs at critical times at the MCC. The Bees were down 20-7, and was only able to come back because we could not move the ball. Even if a Cole offense adds only a modesty amount of yardage, it will be enough to give us the margin of victory.

Just laugh on.

BTW, you never my post after the Turkey Day Classic. You did not want to "pontificate" about the game?

Now I take nothing away from Bama State they beat us this year and won the championship.... but if you think that AAMU is FAR behind Bama State then MH is crazy. It took you the last 1:30 of the game to take the lead on our non offensive team this year... Yes you won but AAMU is not far behind.

Apparently, yours is even shorter. Take a quick glance at my signature kid.

Save the excuses and the sob stories kid. ASU just beat you. Period!

btw, I was dubbing my tape of the MCC for someone this wknd. Whoever gets the OC job at A&M got a whole lot of work to do. A whole lot!!!

now, carry on with your off-season threats of how A&M is gonna "takeover".
Are you related to TP?
:shh:

Orlando is a creative coach. I don't know about him being at AAMU. I saw a few questionable things during his time at both SU and TxSU. He should've been TxSU head coach in my opinion. But, hey! That ain't my call. Plow is right, yall call that man some of everything and I remember how a bunch of you Jags on this page was wanting his head during the loses to jsu a few years ago.

MH,

Can we get coach Kap? I understand he is unhappy in Montgomery.

SU's offense does too many screen plays and shuffle passes for me... It works for them, but I would rather have a JC type offense.

What is this a pissing contest between us and AAMU if you want JC go for it jeeeez you'll get a good OC and a whole lot more.........just be sure you keep his arse away from the womens dorms on AAMU campus lol!!!!

I don't deal in excuses. Everything I said was fact.

Don't get comfortable because of one win in three years. This will not be a common occurrence, believe me.

What about the Turkey Day game? Will State go back to losing in both classics in the same year?

I know one yall can have. And he won't have to learn his way around.

:snicker:

Your defense just took a hit and you don't even recognize it. You're gonna be sorry that Rock left. You do remember the breakdown two years ago when Rock was arguing with the DC? It's a difference in coaching styles that will hender your defense next season. Your D-line will not look as tenacious without Rock. The guy is just that good! You'll see! We just couldn't get Cooper to make the decision to let Brawnski run it all and let Rock do his thing with the D-line. To many chiefs and not enough indians will cause too many confusions. But, you guys had a good steal and let him slip away.

if you say so, TP!

off-season threats are a motha!

ummm, I'm more concerned with ASU getting more hardware, like we got this year.
You can keep basing your season on one game alone, if you want to. I don't.

again, glance at the signature!

"long anticipated takeover"
:lol::lol:

carry on bruh.....

hmmmmmm.......
when Rock came to ASU, you A&M folks belittled his importance, saying it was all Towns, and Rock was just a coach who happened to be a part of it. (mh may be old, but he doesn't forget too much.....yet)
But now that Rock's leaving ASU, he's "just that good".

boo hoo

Actually, I like Rock. Said it when he was hired. I'll say it now.
I don't suddenly change my opinion of a coach based on whether he's at my school or not.

btw, Mike,
you mentioned on another thread that the refs took a TD away from A&M in the MCC. I looked at the tape again this wknd. Please tell me when the refs took a TD.

I dont recall ONE PERSON from AAMU saying anything negative about Rock... yes he was only a part of our defensive scheme and Towns was the the other part, but Rock was a well respected person at AAMU. Even in the private forum NOBODY said anything negative about him. Coach Towns was the first person to congratulate him and Grady Brown (former AAMU db now coaching at State) after ASU won the championship.

MH,

I'm not dwelling on the MCC. You won and you are the SWAC Champs! Congrats!

As for your comment about Rock. He WASN'T the mastermind behind the defense. He was a great D-line coach and I take nothing from him for that. But, he learned from Coach Sal, who came to AAMU with Cooper and coach Sal was too passive in my opinion. Townes has always been the best DC we have ever had at AAMU. We are always good on defense and that didn't just start when we got in the SWAC. Every team has a down year and the only one that we had on defense in recent years was Cooper's last season. That was due to injuries and lack of depth.

I said, that Rock wasn't as good as DC, but he was a great D-line coach. He's passionate about it and if you haven't seen his passion about the game, then you really haven't seen him at work. Sometimes we though the man needed to be restrained. He runs up and down the sidelines yelling like a mad man, but he gets results from his line and there's no question about that.

Mike,

When did Roc leave? Do you know where he is going?

MH,
Roc was just as important to our defense as BT is. Roc brought an energy to that unit that can't be explained. You can agree on his ability as a dline coach. He left the Bulldogs and pick up it you guys without skipping a beat.

AAMU should take a close look at Orlando at S.U. He would be a very good hire for AAMU.

Why, so he can ruin another program??? Orlando was the dagger that killed Bill Thomas' reign at Texas Southern and he ended up bringing the man back for a second year.

Look. Orlando may have been an asset to the Jaguar program but he was a huge liability with the 3rd Coast Tigers.

You can't blame that mess on Orlando. Your program was in big time trouble well before Orlando arrived. (When only 500 people shows up for your game that is a sign). The blame belongs to TXSU administration for not firing Bill Thomas and hiring Orlando. You people at TXSU or so prejudice.

Always was...always will be! You couldn't find anything negative to say about Rock.

JROCK, if you don't know what was happening behind closed doors at 3100 Cleburne before and while Orlando was there then shut your mouth and stick to knowing your jaguars!

Like I said in my original thread, he may have been great for Southern but he was not for Texas Southern so leave it at that! So I know you can't let someone get the last word over you so let's hear your rebuttal.
