He basically said he was a winner. Also, he needs the alumni's help to turn this program around. He's ready to hit the ground running by evaluating the team. He said a lot of interesting things...

Watch the news tonight at 9pm. They all were there...

didnt the Cole brothers have losing records against their two biggest in state rivals AAMU and Skegee? I STILL dont get what the big deal about the Coles are. You would swear they had 10 SWAC Championships.

It is not about whether or not they had losing records against rivals back then. They are focused on winning and can be effective at doing that. It may not appear to be a big deal to you since you do not or have not attended TxSU. It was a great decision that we made and soon it will be proven. :)
 
Good yall have the Cole Brothers at TXSU.. BUt without talent, your still 0 -11 or better yet, yall may pull a James Bell 2 - 9.. Money Bet, TXSU, doesn't win more than 3 games next year. So stop all your celebrating.. J-State we run da SWAC.. hate to burst yalls bubble.. :argue2:

People are hanging on what they did at TnSt almost a decade ago, and how they set Coe up for 2 1/2 yrs at Bama State.

It really wasn't a problem luring Johnnie from Lane. Maybe 10 or so years ago I remember him telling me and other alums that his dream job was to be the head coach at TSU. The challenge was to convince the administration to hire him. CLEB gets the credit for that.

They'll find some talent and be competative next year. TxSou was competative most years with Bill Thomas at the helm.
