Many of you are just bumping your gums. The reason it dropped was because of the war on crack. How many school shooting were there in the 80's? Come on now Kendrick don't lie because the dude who did the first one in Chi-town at school on campus just got out the joint.......... I will be waiting......
 
Where his whole argument is retarded is that he's using overall numbers to try to make a direct comparison to this topic....which doesn't work. That's like me saying well it can't be any worse in ATL if the murders are lower now when 40% of those murders then were committed by other races where as 90% of them now are committed by blacks. The logic just doesn't work. What was black kids high school drop out rates in the 80's compared to now? What was the out of wedlock childbirth rate like compared to now? Sitting there looking at a stat sheet doesn't mean a damn thing because it doesn't show the whole picture.

And someone brought up the how the murder rate in Chicago used to be compared to now, the difference is how many of those murders 20 years ago were committed by the same demographic that's committing them now??? I mean hell at one point Chicago had far more murders than any other city but that was during the time of prohibition and tommy guns, what does that have to do with what we're talking about now? lol... are you really going to try to use that to say that our communities are better off now than they were 20 years ago? If so some of you really need to go outside sometimes.
 
Kendrick is right. The numbers don't lie. People are lot more civilized than we were a century ago. Do we want to talk about teen pregnancy when your great grandmothers were popping out kids at 14 years old and marrying 25 year olds? Contrary to what black people want to believe, the world did not start in 1960.

You're right, Tony. Nobody back in the day ever beat their wives, divorced, molested kids, killed anyone or had cornrows, tattoos and listened to music that made their parents tremble in fear. It was all Pleasentville, where everyone lived in nice 'hoods with white picket fences and basketball players made all their foul shots, too.
 
Tony, if they had welfare back then, you can trust that great grandma would have qualified for it. The catholic church had special ceremonies for homosexual couples for a century before it stopped. I could go on and on but I will stop. Studying history will constantly prove that there is nothing new under the sun.

Obesity is a big problem in America. We subsidize our way to being fat. The fat explosion happened around the late 80's. Everything went supersized.
 
I have notice that the older people get, the more they forgot what they were like when they were young and the fact that they probably didnt appreciate the things the generation before said about them.
 
Man please we had the best of the world. We could smoke weed without drug test. Have sex without AIDs. All you had to do was get a shot and you were good. DUIs? man please they just called your folks to come get you and made the person who drunk the least drive home. :lol: Folks actually fought like men instead of shooting each other.
