How did you find out about the SWAC Page???

I was just curious as to how the rest of you found out about or discovered the SWAC Page. Did a friend or co-worker tell you about it? Did you see an advertisement somewhere? Were you surfing the web and found it by chance?

As for myself, I found the SWAC Page entirely by accident. A friend of mine, sent me a list of useful web addresses. One of those addresses was http://www.everythingblack.com Under this web address are more sites that are useful to the Black community, and two of those sites are the SWAC Page and MEAC Page.

2000 SWAC Football Standings

I admit to being a latecomer, however, I found the page through a Google search when I was trying to find the SWAC football standings. After I got all of the info on football, I started to "visit" the Sports Board to read the comments and opinions and the rest, as they say, is history.

I barely go onto their msg board, but I was in the A&M segment of the board one day and someone posted a link to a message here for more information. After I read that message, I just stayed. Guess I was hooked ;)
 
Blue Bengal first told me about it in 98. He said that it would be cool for me to peep it out since we had just joined the SWAC. I didn't actually go on until the following summer...because of the "Vote For The Best Band" Poll. It all started from there...:cool:
 
Dang!! I was on JState band board back in the day (late 90's) and somebody mentioned the swacpage band board. Unfortunately I've been hooked on this site ever since. Lol!!!:)
 
I found out via Get Ready and my homeboy. Pretty much right from the start. GR and I used to battle via email before the SP. LOL
 



I found out surfing the net.......

I just took a long time before I joined. I was on another swac board but it got closed down. I think it was connect to HBCUSports.com.... if that site exist anymore.
 
In 1999, I walked into the computer lab on the first floor of T.T. Allain Hall at Southern University. There were two computers open and I chose the one with the internet already up. And staring me in the face was The SWACPage. I read some posts and immediately joined that day. JaguarD was that youngsters name and a few years later, SU Jag 79 was born to signify that the Jag graduated.

Been addicted ever since.
 
Long time ago

It had to be like 98 I did a search on JSU swac sites and found it.... So I have been here for a while... it might have been a lil bit before 98... but that is how I found you guys....:rolleyes:
 
I was at band practice a few weeks ago when some people were talking about it and I decided to see what is was about oneday. then joined the next 5 minutes.
 
I think a friend told me about the page, when I was asking about finding SWAC standings. And I found out about the message board from CLEB. He sent me a link to a post he posted about me and I started reading the board and joined that day. Its been love ever since...:love:
