Hoover vs John Curtis TONIGHT

On another note, Hoover's QB isn't a "field general" like his brother at UA. He did exceptional things with the ball that this brother hasn't shown me. And Dahill, you're right about him running around like he had a concussion. In fact, he look like he had a bad concussion. All that scrambling ability and no play was set-up for a tightend or throwing back to the other side of the field to a running back or receiver with blocking protection.

Hoovers schedule was full with the two out of state games.... also you must not have watched 2 a days this past week... you failed to mention that Hoover beat Tuscaloosa County by 40 in the state playoffs last year.

Besides having the two fumbles to start the game they were awful. There are about five teams in Louisiana that would easily beat Hoover.

They were forced back down. If it weren't for larger schools complaining, Curtis would still be in 4A and Evangel in 5A, not 1A. The new classification at the beginning of 05-06 made them go to 2A.

94, I know Curtis was forced back down, but before they moved up, they were feeling the heat to do just that; Move Up, and when they did move up, it was to the same results, more arse kicking. The schools in the higher classifications starting complaining to LHSAA that their enrollment didn't justify them playing that high, and forced them to moved back down.

Man, they've been terrorizing the New Orleans area, and the state for years, and haven't really been challenged since thier battles with Wossman back in the 80's. Schit it got so bad that when Walker beat them a few years ago, it was like the entire city of New Orleans won that game. LOL

Face it bruh, as long as that system they have stays in place, and the college recruiters keep living on their campus, they won't ever have a problem getting top notch talent. Curtis is going to be tough to beat on a regular basis, no matter what classification they're in, because the majority of their players are there for at least 6 years.

Hill, that's the thing with Curtis, they hardley ever win pretty, and that's the thing that I think has kept them out of the national rankings for so long. In Louisiana we've had upstart programs like Evangel, and West Monroe to come out of nowhere, and be ranked in the top 10 nationally, but the one constant has been John Curtis, and it wasn't until the last 5 years or so, that the nation has started to give them their due.

I told you bruh, they never throw the ball, that's why no quarterbacks come out of there. If I'm not mistaken, I think the last quarterback they had to go on to a major college was Chad Loup, and he didn't do schit at LSU. They win with a controlled running game, and solid defense. They're the only South Louisiana team that plays power North Louisiana football.

You dayum near have to play a perfect game of football to beat them, because they're usually sound all around, and won't beat themselves.

Thats the thing though.. his numbers are way better than what his brother put up... He passed for over 3500 yards and 45 touchdowns last year and had been killing this year... I dont know what the hell he was doing last night... He never even looked to pass... and he wasnt being pressured. They should have pulled him.

The two long passes are what killed Hoover lol... nobody was expecting them to throw and the qb did a perfect play action and threw 2 bombs to wide open receivers.

It was no Hoover before him, there last state championship was 18 years before Propts got there.... He has won everywhere he has been... when he moved to Hoover he went to all the Pee Wee coaches and had them put in a system...these kids have been running the same system from pee wee league to middle school to high school... every team that plays football in Hoover runs the same system.... now he was outcoached by JC coach... he even admitted that in the newspaper.

Ruston and Rayville? Ruston was a power back when Chick Childress was there, but haven't heard any talks of a Ruston power recently. I'm from Monroe, so when did Rayville come up? oh ok... there are a few private schools in AHSAA.. off hand I can think of UMS Wright, Madison Academy, Briarwood Christian, St Jude... but there arent very many... they have their seperate association, but none of the schools are big.
