Hmm article on theadvocate

JSU and SU on Oct 4th...that's early. '08 will be a mess with scheduling...This is Vowels fault
Schools better start scheduling early!!!! The longer we wait to get games finalized, the tougher it will be. The SWAC office should already have a composite conference schedule done for '08, if they are on their jobs....

October 11th against TSU, October 25th against PVU! lol I can put our schedule for 2008 together. lol

We used to play TxSU early in the schedule back in the days and PV was later on in the schedule.

I think we started to schedule PV and TxSu closer together around 1990 or 91.

PVU probably want to play at Tully Stadium at 1:00 p.m! It won't be that bad now, but they are probably mad.

Looks like SU is gonna get some D2's. I assume that the conference scheduled the conference games and that is probably the reason for the date changes. I see that SU's rotation is JSU, Alcorn, and AlaState. I have heard that GSU's rotation is Valley, AlaState and AAMU.

Will GSU vs JSU and Alcorn be played?

BTW, I am an advocate for the STRICT 7 game format but I don't think we will ever go to that. Also, I don't like JSU playing on Oct. 4th. That is our traditional OPEN date.

Um, no we are not and if we do it's our schedule not JSU's.

there will never be a hard seven game slate ...or even eight game slate because there will still be cries for attendance welfare games...

this whole 9-game mandate was attendance welfare at it's worst...now we're goign to go back to the "we'll play this team, they're in our conference but the game won't count toward the standings" bullcrap...

No wonder why the rest of Division I-AA looks at the SWAC like some third-world country ran by a bunch of buffoons

Dayum!! We're going to play SU at Alcorn on September 27th next year?!?! That's early as heyell. I hope we have some good games in October, besides homecoming.

yeah there are some changes in 08, there is speculation that Grambling will be back in Las Vegas, a game against TN St, The Circle City Classic and the Whitney Young Classic with Morgan State in New Jersey: i wish i really knew the fall 08 schedule!

No Alcorn, No Jackson State... :smh:

Do you think Gram will schedule JSU anyway????

Gram playing Alcorn in the old red river classic, 1st SWAC matchup, and JSU ain't going nowhere....................I'll bet money on that.

Alcorn and JSU may not count in the standings but GRAM may as well cut the 4 free game's down to 2 cause Alcorn and JSU will have 2 of those 4 slot's in 2008.:smash:

I knew folks would sing a different tune when certain teams rotate off their schedules.
:snicker:

We usually get to whoop Su early in the year, not this late.

MH You always have to say something. You know that won't happen this year or next year so be quiet. Oh we in Mobile this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LADD PEEEEEBLES STADIUM HERE I COME lol

You know that's comming.
But like I said when we had this discussion last football season.

It's time for people complaining to start at home pulling their programs up to the point where people won't look at them as expendable.
People gotta stop "OUTRIGHT" depending on a few other school's to fill their coffer's instead of doing a better job of promoting their product to the HOME CROWD.

Uh MH........Bama State don't USUALLY whoop SU. Do we need to examine the series record? I thought we clarified this in another thread. Carry on.
