HBCU Basketball: November 28 - December 4

They struggle to get home games against D-1s but they're winning the D-1 games on the road so you can't fault them. Their not under as much financial stress to play bloodbath games

Hip me onto NCCU's financial situation. With so many D1 schools in reasonable proximity, would that help their scheduling?

Nobody wants to take the risk of taking an L. People have a lot of respect for Moton and loosing to an HBCU is always bad for business.

And a lot of the mid-major schools close to our level are also trying to get home games so you have competition to get home games while also trying to schedule games where your team can work on its game without getting destroyed by a Top 10 powerhouse.

HUNTSVILLE -- Rakiya Battle had a career high 25 points but the Bulldogs weren't able to hold on Saturday in a 79-74 loss to Tennessee Tech.

It was the season home debut for A&M which had three players in double figures.

Battle hit 8 of 16 from the field - including a pair of three-pointers - and was 7 of 7 from the line.

Tracey Burnett scored 12 points and Matthew Cotton added 11 for A&M.

Just to tell you how bad we are from a health standpoint .. We had to get Javares Brent back on the team. He had left the team at the end of last year.. LOL
