HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Alabama State scored a run in the first and a run in the third to take a 2-0 lead.
  • Randy Flores reached on an error and later scored on a Ian Matos sacrifice fly in the first.
  • Jordan Sloan doubled and came home on a Flores sacrifice fly in the third.
  • Ali Lapread hit a two-run home run following a Kyler McIntosh walk to push the lead to 4-0 in the sixth.
  • The Panthers got on the board in the sixth on a sacrifice fly and an RBI double to trim the ASU lead to 4-2.
  • Sloan walked and scored on a Jamal George double and George scored on a Trent Jamison sacrifice fly to make the score 6-2 in the seventh.
  • The Hornets took a 7-2 lead in the eighth. Corey King was hit by a pitch and moved to third on a Sloan single before a George RBI double.
  • Alabama State scored two runs highlighted by a Sloan RBI double to take a 9-2 lead going to the bottom of the ninth.
 

Softball got pushed back to a DH on Easter

Pray for them young ladies smh.

Only one full time pitcher (freshman) and an other smh (two out for the season due to inury)

1. Lee is happy being an assistant AD and handling things behind the scenes
2. Buckner was his personal choice.
3. Like women's basketball, this is a wash year due to injuries but last year showed he can coach
