Request any and all info on places to go and things to do while visiting MVSU this weekend. Is there an VWF or ELK's club? Which hotels would you recommend? Where is a good place to eat? Is the hole-in-wall a safe place to get your drink on?

Plow, you may be SOL. My hometown is not visitor friendly. Try the Hampton Inn off I-82 W. It's fairly new. A good place to eat....good hole in the wall........ :lmao:

When I go home, I make sure I go to the Big 25 and let Critaucal's folks make me a "Quarter Burger". Bo Roach's place has some good BBQ. The Orlando Club is right across the street from the VFW. Both places usually have a crowd on Saturday.

Only thing I know about Greenwood,Ms is that it's some thick sistas that come out of their. I do know they cornbread feed and thick as butter. Saddle up for the ride Plow because them country gals ain't scared to get down.

Okay, I can't eat BBQ from a place owned by a roach.

I went to some place in the early 90s. Music was cool, and the drinks were  ...

Too bad I didn't know then, nor do I know now, where the HEYAL I was ...

Ramada Inn in greenwood bout the only hotel worth staying at. We usually blow in there and get the hell on after the game.

You must not have been there in the last year. The Hampton Inn was built in 2005..I believe.

Try my kinfolk's place. It's a REAL hole-in-the-wall. It's the BIG 25 or as known as The Quarter. It's at 1215 Broad Street. My uncle runs the place, and my aunt (his sister-in-law) holds down the grill. She makes good burgers.

Hotels? I think there's an like-new hotel right off Hwy 82 W (down from the new Super Wal-Mart), and I think it's the Hampton Inn.

Do I know you or your family? I'm CriTAUcal's uncle. I was Mr. Threadgill for the 66-67 school year.

Yeah, those my folks. I was going in that place when I was barely tall enough to see over the bar. They got a DJ nowadays, but when I was little, it was that old jukebox up against the wall by the door (playing NOTHING but the blues). I think they still got those Colt 45 posters and red lights (and Christmas lights) all over the place to give it that dark, smoky jukejoint look.
