Bruce was not affected by the Heisman Hype...Bruce has some receivers that are very inexperiencd...plus he lost his "automatic" in Tramon Douglas. Some of the younger guys will step up and get in step with running those option routes. Not making excuses, but Bruce's confidence and familiarity with these guys is not there.
What looks like overthrows is not always an overthrow...sometimes, the receiver comes out of his break on the wrong angle of too soon. Bruce has read the coverage and throws to where the receiver is supposed to be. After some plays, I noticed Bruce pointing out to the receiver how the route is to be ran and the coverage just used. No problem with Douglas...he read routes well. I didn't see a vertical stretch receiver like Mose Harris and Abney. Those two guys opened things up for he underneath stuff that Tramon strived on. We have got to find a "stretch" guy!
But congrats to the Braves...but no, (IMO) Bruce wasn't pressing and he actually was'nt "off" but as the qb he gets and must accept responsibility.
