I think the gay rumor about Q-Tip was started when this guy tried to kiss him in that prison movie he started in, can't think of the title. Back in the late 80?s there were rumors that Major Johnson and Isiah Thomas were a couple.

Yes, Sherman is gay. He was on the news back in the day because some man would keep him on lock down at the home they shared. I remember thinking, why didn't "George Jefferson" curse him out & whip his tail.

Paul Winfield is definitely gay.
