Floyd Mayweather Can't Read.





What's surprising (to me) is that because he does have so much money, he hasn't taken the time to improve his reading skills. I guess because he is so rich, reading well (with retention and comprehension) just isn't important enough for him. Just hope he has some honest and decent people helping him handle his money and business affairs.

Not sure about his accounting/finance people but his promotional team is legit. They have made him a bunch of money.

I agree...it's like my dad told me..."if you can't read..then you are losing money because you have to pay people to do the most simplistic thing."

With that type of money coming in you have to pay people to do that anyway. He's no Mike Tyson or Evander Holyfield.

yep...he should...and the other celebs who don't seem well educated should also...they gave up their educations "supposedly" to get to the dream...now they have the dream, they should educate themselves...money don't stop folks from calling and backing up that you are a dumb cracka/honky/nig g a/X___enter your slur here__
 
The biggest issue is not being able to run your own empire and being dependent upon other people for everything makes you easy to steal from.
 
If people only knew what Floyd had to deal with growing up with a drug addicted mother and father locked up in prison. He had to practically raise himself. With all that shat going on that young brother made it.
 
I still say we can't discount brain trauma he's suffered over the years, yanno, getting punched in the head dozens of times during a given fight.

There's a difference between not being able to read well out loud and being illiterate. Reading words off a page out loud only tell u so much. I've known plenty of people who can read well out loud but have no clue when it comes to comprehension, etc. Just saying...Mayweather has been able to do what few boxers can do - create his own brand and own his own product. He can't be too dumb. Contrast him with Manny Pacqiou who has major money issues and is beholden to Bob Arum.

I have a line brother who's mom was a crackhead whore who died from drugs and dad who was killed in a drug deal. His grandmother raised him. She died a week after his high school graduation. Dude had $2000. He was forced to cremate his grandmother and used the rest to come to GSU. He enrolled and had to take remedial classes. He graduated and now is an Assistant High School Principal. I gave him his first suit to go to an interview with....

In short when people want to say a person had to go through this and that....there are others who had to do the same. No excuse for not being able to read.

Especially now that he has a ton of money. He could pay for in house tutoring but would rather buy cars and shit and post pics of checks on facebook.

You sure make a lot of judgments without facts. You have no idea what goes on in the Mayweather household - same as the rest of us.

No judgment...but it's the truth...WE ALL have gone through some things. Yet, with him posting checks for millions and bragging....get some classes in reading.

I never said he was dumb...the guy has money. Yet, use some of that money toward literacy.
 
Millionaires employ people with good educations. The folks who go broke are the ones chasing pussy and dope. Everyday working folks with a good education chase those same things.
