DOES SCHOOL PRESTIEGE PLAY A ROLE IN WHO GETS TO BIRMINGHAM???

ARE SWAC SCHOOLS BEING PIMPED BY THE COMMISIONER'S OFFICE? IS DUER HOPING IN ORDER TO KEEP HIS JOB, CERTAIN SCHOOLS MUST MAKE IT TO BIRMINGHAM IN ORDER TO SEE A PROFIT? OR IS SWAC FOOTBALL THAT GOOD THAT IT PRODUCES CHAMPS LIKE JSU, GSU, SU, AND AAMU. ANSWERS PLEASE!!!
 
Schools such as Southern,Grambling and those Bama schools usually have Championship caliber teams, that's why those four teams have played in the SCG the most but i'm sure the SWAC office loves it when school such as SU,GSU and JSU are apart of it because of the magnitude of their names! I guarantee if someone if flipping the channel and that Southern or Grambling is apart of something they will tune in! A known product draws viewers!

The dude just said a "known" commodity. Grambing is known due to Eddie Robinson and Tampax. People don't go to games to see Grambling. Hell, even Grambling's own fans don't go to see them. They barely had 3,000 people on their side of the stadium during the SCG, so HOW can other folks like and support their commodity, when their OWN fans don't support it's own commodity.

THEN he said Bama schools usually field "championship" caliber teams. Well, I be dayum.:emlaugh: Folks need to get their post count up first, and get some experience under their belt before posting.

...also SU has ONE championship since 1999 and they didn't do schitt in the 70's and 80's.

So you want to talk about recent JSU-SU history? Even with Bell, only AlaState and Grambling have a series lead over JSU since 2000. That is a sad statistic. That means Hughes and Comegy have kicked a whole lot of booty!

WOULD YOU CONSIDER GSU, JSU, AND SU MONEY MAKERS FOR THE SCG. WHAT IF A PV,TSU, OR MVSU GET THERE. WILL THE SWAC WIN OR LOSE MONEY AND ALSO TV RIGHTS WITH THOSE SCHOOLS IN ATTENDANCE. DON'T GET ME WRONG, I AM NOT KNOCKING THOSE SCHOOLS, I AM MERELY CONCERNED ABOUT THE ECONOMICS HERE.

Well pop, since he included Grambling's name in the question of being a "moneymaker" for the SCG, it's on the right board. Bringing 3,000 fans to a championship game ain't made nobody NO money.
If it wasn't for the 40,000 plus JSU fans, the '07 SCG attendance would've been a black eye and major embarassment to the SWAC.

This is not about economics, it is more about fair play. The SWAC is an outstanding conference, and please note that any conference playing football only has 3 to 4 good teams. The ACC, SEC, PAC 10 and others send teams with 6 and 5 records to bowl games to make money. Why not asked the NCAA to allow some SWAC team play in bowl games to make some money. I don't see the rationale for your questions.

Jackson State 42,Grambling 31
Alabama A&M 22, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 13
Grambling State 45, Alabama A&M 6
Alabama State 40, Southern Univ 35
Southern Univ 20, Alabama State 9
Grambling State 31, Alabama A&M 19
Grambling State 38, Alabama State 31
Grambling State 14, Alabama A&M 6
Southern Univ 31, Jackson State 30

The years AAMU went to Bham, JSU kicked their azz. Not until Bell came did they beat us and now they can hang it up! Worry about SU getting back!

If yall kicked AAMU azz and AAMU got to the SCG that only means a whole of other schools kicked yalls azz....

Stick to the facts and let go of them silly arse illusions. You sound worse than those NfL teams that win 3 games on the season and beat a division leader in the last game of the season only because they are resting their starters because they already clinched their play-off spot.

Nope...actually, JSU and AAMU would both lose about the same number of games but AAMUs loss to SU or GSU would not count...so they would get in. They did not beat ANY of the big three 2002 (when they only beat SUcks), yet they went to Bham in 2000 and 2001. But I forgot, you just started following football last year. (sort of)

I was playing football while you were cheer leading from your grandma front screen door for the kids playing street ball..
I was attending to Saints games whiles you were playing with barbe dolls, so don't try to go there... :lol:
