Dear TopDog

What about every kid that watches golf and sees Tiger curse after every bad shot he has or celebrate like he does on a golf course? What about when John McEnroe was doing it in Tennis? or Bobby Knight coaching?

Most of these kids aint paying KG attention like that. If anything they are looking at his big arse earrings and saying they want to be like that to have that bling. The cursing part is the least of my worries that these young kids see.

Exactly SEE.. they can't hear none of that stuff..

Kids don't watch golf and tennis like they watch basketball. They know Tiger Woods, but they ain't watching a whole round of golf on TV. Plus, how many times have they caught Tiger cussing? Once or twice at most and you almost HAD to be watching to even know it happened.

You are right...the kids who watch basketball have no interest in golf or tennis. I think it is just a double standard. The networks do a good job of not showing Tiger curse as much as he does out there. He even mentioned in an article that he has to stop cursing so much. I know GQ had him interviewed and cursed like a sailor. LOL.

So I guess KG is ruining it for the youngsters who look up to him by cursing or mean mugging on the sidelines.

Like I said I rather him curse than try to be fighting or doing some other stuff on or off the court. Maybe he should be like Barkley and declare himself a non role model.

In my best AI voice........"Cussing" "You are talking about cussing"

Cussing has ruined a many childhood. I better go tell my VP to stop using that kind of language....wonder where he learned it and whether it ruined his life.

What about 'em? Still as wrong, considering their various degrees of this issue.

Tiger...the least of the cuss'rs. Not as many kids watching as KG, plus still wrong.

John Mac...a tennis player. Not as much light as KG is flashing when it comes to kids watching. Not even if you consider the era in which he played. Wrong, anyway.

Knight...ain't no kids trying to use him as a role model or gravitate to him. In the day, they gravitated to the program he was heading (Indiana), mixed in with his disciplinary actions. By the time he left..."some" kids gravitated towards his name when he went to TTech. But, most, along with their parents, shyed away.

Come on, JR. When you're a kid and watching basketball...things like earings, clothes and everything else off-the-court come WAY after watching the game and manorisms of the one you idolize on-the-court. Back in the day...you only listened to Jordan's postgame interviews AFTER he balled. Only then you noticed that iceburg on his ear and/or how he dressed.

When I was a kid...I didn't just watch the game from a birds-eye view and/or face value. I watched the details. Kids are BIG-time followers now days...cuz, it's more to follow. And, even more importantly now-days, they have no one to tell them what's right and wrong about each individual. And, that includes what flies out of the mouth of a Superstar after EVERY one of his buckets.

Like I stated...
no one would encourage a MS/HS/AAU'er to react like that.

They will still find something wrong with KG all because he played in Minnesota...

LMAO..
Well with that thinking DOC done ruined it for all of us Juke....

Dang, I knew I should have been covering my ears with Doc grabbed that megaphone....lol And that was the light end, your Frat Knighten did us in with the cuss words man..lol

Man my 7 year old can read lips. He still imitates KG hopping around when he injured himself this season.

Now I am not advocating kids need to see that. But I am sure as a parent you have told him you better not imitate KG's choice of words.

I saw alot of things from folks I looked up to growing up. But some things you knew you better not try.....because you were not grown.

Cursing is not what I am worried about with the youngsters. It is the bling, the excessive tattoos, the shows showing the lavish lifestyles like it was easy to get there. No talk about getting an education by the ballers. That is my issue with most sports. The cursing is part of the game and has been for years. If anything the networks shouldn't be all in the mouth of these players. KG aint the first foul mouth NBA player. They never showed Bird saying anything. Even though he was the biggest foul mouth trash talker at the time.

Oh come on. They'd just hit a game winning 3 pointer with 2 seconds left. Don't act like you never heard a player cuss on TV before. In game one against the Jazz, after Kobe went in for that dunk, he clearly said "Get the fugg off me" and it wasn't hard to read his lips. LOL!! Click on HD to watch the HD version and you can clearly see what he said.

Mayne,

GR's probably cussed way worst than that at the Boom dirung football games...*lmao*

You are right.. It almost look like it is a requirement on most NBA teams to have atleast 12 tats..

Come on Juke........these kids watch everything. They are more enamored with the lifestyle of these ball players. They want to look and act like them .......sure I can see some kids looking at KG and wanting be demonstrative like KG. Same as some wear sticking their tongue out trying to be MJ. I understand all that. I just thinking him cursing aint the biggest thing they are trying to copy. Plus he is about to be old news.

If anything these kids want to be LeBron and the newer superstars.

Are you kidding me. KG is well liked on and off the court. Your boy Kobe would hope to have his reputation......KG's image aint never been tarnished on or off the court.

JR

The reason KGs rep hasnt been tarnished off the court yet is that he has not won 3 championships.

Lets say the Celts win the Championship this year and next. That following summer the Celts would be involved in all kinds of mishaps. Players would be caught drunk driving the coaches would leave, there would be all kinds of turmoil around the Celts.

The powers that be will only lets sports franchises win 3 championships in a small window. After that, they split up the teams because dynastys mess up gambling.

The prime example is what they did to the Bulls in the 90s.

Yeah he knows the consequences of language like that around me. Also I don't think the tattoos and bling are as big of a deal as you do. The education part comes from me and his mother. "No A (or B), no play".

Well, let me say this...and, then Im out, cuz I really don't give a fugg.

They never showed Bird saying anything. Even though he was the biggest foul mouth trash talker at the time.

This is the point, JR.

KG knows he's on camera. So, you can't say anything to a parent (or, one of "those" sensitive types) that would say something about KG being "that" demonstrative? Cuz, lets be real.... it looks unnecessary...and, reeks of no home-training. It's known that fans expect certain restraints from multi-millionaires. And, not cussing that heavily falls under that umbrella.

JR

As soon as KG wins 3 championships, believe me, they are going to send a white girl to his hotel room.....take it from old GR...he knows how "the man" works.

This has got to be the worse conspiracy theory I've heard in my LIFE!!!

GR, interesting comments. I don't usually buy into your conspiracy theories. But you know I aint a David Stern fan at all. Something aint right about him. Now I don't know how much shady business goes on. Maybe not to your level of complicity. But I do think he knew about the gambling more than he let on. Still don't buy your story on Jordan though. LOL.

One thing I will agree with. Boston shole aint the place to be caught doing something. I actually believe if they start sucking that the city will turn on them. LOL. Paul Pierce was already having some issues there before. I know some dude stabbed him. Can't remember why though.

JR....I could go on and on about how teams only win 3 titles and are broken up by the powers that be starting with the Bulls and ending with the Patriots....but I dont want to be found dead with shotgun wound to the back of the head called "suicide."
