excited ???

no one said we were excited TP....YOU said we are excited...there you go tryna think for us again like always...

yall hired a 69 yr old Coach? trust me...no one in Normal...nevermind lol

You are 1-6 vs JSU since 2007.. you need to be worried about JSU. The only year ya'll BARELY beat us was 2009 when we went 3-7. We gonna wear ya'll out.. esp on offense.

Yep. I'm really interested to see what Timmy Chang does for that offense. We all know he won't be there long but if they get that offense looking like he was at Hawaii, they would be dangerous in a year or two.

We gonna be dangerous this year. It does not take JSU 2-3 years to get going. We had 3 OCs under Comegy and they all kicked azz. ..even our sorriest one (McCall).

Your OC has been nothing above a grad assistant.... so basically zero coaching experience.

He may have zero coaching experience but he was hired because he knew the offense Jackson wanted to run. He has played and coached in that system. Then they brought in an o-line coach from the SAME system. Its all about the system and who can teach it. Ya'll got coaches from all over the place with no knowledge of Spady's offense. On top of that, he had the name recognition to get us some top talent in Jackson. Ya'll OC is probably 69 and has none of that going for him.

So ya'll not excited? good!

Jackson may be 68 or 69 as you say but that does not translate to say your Uncle Jed who is say 68 or 69. Jackson is a former World Class Athlete who has been Active and Nonstop in all of his years! In his case you count those numbers as years of wisdom and experience!

excitement is over-stating the way we feel..people up here are just glad Spady is here and doing alot of outreach in the HSV community and the state of Alabama ...that's one of the reasons AD Hicks hired him...to implement new ideas...

Jackson is not a better coach than Spady...how many championship rings does Jackson have on the college level?

if Jackson was the Joe Paterno of BCF...sure he would have been hired long before this....

and who is uncle jed? last time I checked Spady wasn't in his late 60s lol

..and that's good because ya'll need some outreach....LOL

As for Spady vs Jackson, Jackson has the most connections and the most knowledge of the game as a player and as a coach. A lot of JSU alums thought we were getting an old coot.. LOL but dude is very sharp and gets advice from key people about how to run a program. You will see a HUGE difference in the fan base now vs when he was hired. You would be hard pressed to find a JSU who does not think we are in better hands with Jackson and company than with Comegy and company. The only ones who need convincing is JRs barber shop crew..

Spady been turned down for every job he applied for... LOL
I think Spady is good for AAMU but Jackson is just what we needed in Jackson at this time.
Jackson used his contacts to assemble a staff full of D1 and NFL minded coaches.
..and wait until ya'll see this next recruiting class. This staff recruited well with limited time.

:confused::confused:
ASU didn't play well, Missed 3 FGs. The final score was 31-7. :scared:
If that's "every chance to beat" us, then congrats.

They don't realize how far they have to come. I believe Spady will get them on track but they are pretty much a lock for 4th in the EAST this year if they can beat Comegy.

bruh ...... top talent in Jackson? Since when has Jackson been a hotbed for football? BTW.... We got the Huntsville Offensive and Defensive MVP both All State signed...

you named a GRAD ASSISTANT as OC.... that won't happen NOWHERE else. He has never even coached a position... he is a grad assistant.... He basically a water boy...... film editor...... coaches do boy.

so now you tryna hype up Jackson TP....

GR won't even cosign the hire of Jackson....the leader of the JSU wafia

oh yeah we have no control over how many games yall have won leading up to when A&M plays JSU...so what does the last comment have to do with the price of tea in china?

Did GR tell you this? Did he post it anywhere? If both answers are no, then you're lying again. I know you're lying on the second one cause GR hasn't posted on here since January.

Yes, Totten is there as the q-back coach...Some of our other coaches have experience at major schools that have won big recently( Louisville, Texas A&M, Nevada). Your coaching staff might be a question mark, but our staff is more certain.

Off-the field changes and state wide marketing will lead to more and better results on the field. Getting the AAMU name before good high school players and creating an image of a competitive program will, in time, garner better recruits and fan response. JSU folks need to tell Jackson to watch us ( I bet the other schools will be doing this next year.). We will be innovators...we don't mind if JSU becomes a copy cat.

AAMU barely averages 6,000 folks per game. You guys should've been taking notes from JSU years and years ago to get your numbers up. If your own fans don't want to see it's team play, that says a lot about your history.

Spady has won a championship at EVERY college he has coached at.

start the comparison....... our DC has been a DC at a Conference USA school (UAB) and was an assistant at Louisville (line coach) and Arkansas ( linebacker coach).... your DC has been a position coach at Stillman and Alabama State and a head coach at Lane College.....

Your OC has been nothing above a grad assistant.... so basically zero coaching experience.

Let's break this down. UAB ain't never been jack in football. Strike one. A line coach at Louisville means nothing. If he was that good, he'd still be there. Strike two. A line coach at Arkansas and he's begging for a job at AAMU? From Arkansas to AAMU?? Are you kidding me. Strike THREE, you're OUT.
You guys have no true X's and O's coachs. I wonder why you didn't mention Totten. Oh, I know why. He never beat JSU's worse coach of all time.....james b*ll. b*ll didn't lose a game to Totten. If there was such a thing, that would be strike four.

Ya'll can't touch our staff... PERIOD.. UAB.. really? :lmao:

Harold Jackson – Head Coach - 5 time Pro Bowl NFL player. Former FBS and UFL Assistant and JSU alum.
Derrick Burroughs – Defensive Coordinator/Secondary/Asst HC- Former NFL player with Buffalo Bills and former Head Coach at Lane College.

McCall is worse than anyone of our OC's in recent history and he still kicked AAMU to sleep each time he faced yall. If he can do it, Chang should have no problem at all.
It's really not that hard to beat the likes of AAMU. Just look at the last seven years. You are 1-6 against JSU with the only win coming in a losing season.
Plus AAMU doesn't have the players to run the style of offense Spady's trying to implement. AAMU has a long way to go to get to the top, but at least yall can beat Alcorn consistently.

..

GR did say it ....

Terrell SU's signature for the past 3 months shows where he was pissed on Twitter!

"somebody put that on a Tshirt"

SCG Titles

A&M 1

JSU 1

That's the bottom line. Y'all came in the league and put a championship mojo on jsu. :emlaugh:

Dude, that lucky mess yall lucked out on was obvious. JSU has owned su over the last nine years too.....JSU 7 su 3. Lucked up and won a fluke title but that don't erase your sorry history of nine years under Pete and Stump.

Dude, McCall under Comegy didn't have any experience as an offensive coordinator but he still kicked AAMU to sleep. Like I said, that's to be expected. JSU folks don't put up with losing football games to the AAMU's of the SWAC.
Since you have no idea of the experience Chang has, I'll help you out: Chang has had experience under some of the best NFL and Canadian league coaches in all of football.
Following graduation, Chang was signed by the Arizona Cardinals, the Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles. In Canada, he's had experience under pro coaches when he played with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Did I mention experience under June Jones as well?
I'll put those experiences up against any SWAC offensive coordinator.
