Maybe JC and Macbfac will see what I have been telling them all along. We will be proactive in promoting AAMU football in a way that has not been previously done in the SWAC, except for the time Cooper rolled into town. Next up are camps and practices at major high school football powers. These coaches intend to put AAMU name all over the State.

yada yada yada....

Jim Caldwell gave rave reviews on ****
Im sure lots of people gave good reviews on Stump too....
...ya'll listening to Cooper now? :lmao:

Ya'll acting like ya'll won something and this staff has barely had practice. :smh: Act like ya'll used to something.. sheesh!

A few weeks ago, people were acting like a celebrity golf tournament was the best thing since sliced bread... now we talkin about camp? Really?

new coaches have a grace period...everything they do that was different than the last coach draws interest...now once Ws and Ls start compiling then things change

Spady is doing what some of us as fans have been dying of other coaches on "The Hill" to do for sometime. In the long run, reaching out locally will pay off. Not right away though. The cupboard is kinda of bare. I expect just an ok season, but in 2 or 3 years, it will definitely be on.

I truly expect Spady vs Fobbs to become a great rivalry, because I believe both coaches will have their teams headed in the right direction and we will prolly continue to play each other for the first game of the season

This change is not just one of style...it is a qualitative difference. The fact that he is doing creative projects makes his grace period longer, even considering W and L. We know the man has to revise the team to fit his style of play and that will require a couple of years. When Cooper was there, AAMU had the name recognition and drawing power that Bama State has now. We are getting it back...In a few years, transfers and highly recruited players will consider us like they did when Cooper was there. Make sure PV can keep us with us.

Give kudos to Caldwell for the heads-up...To a lot of us, Bell was and remains a hero....

Yeah, I believe one has to give him a year or two for what he is trying to do to take root.....However, I still believe the east is up for grabs.......though I give Alcorn State followed by Bama State a slight edge for 2014.

yeah like Oracle said we're not expecting Spady to win SWAC his first year but if he does it will be nice....

this year Spady is implementing his system and putting his stamp on A&M football so we're expecting the growing pains but we will be better than last year for sure

even though I am willing to give them more time, they see a turn around in a shorter time frame...they are familiar with the level of play in the SWAC and know what to expect...Bama State often comes up short in the big game..we had every chance to beat them last year but could not muster any coherent plays on offense...

Very true statement.......mind blowing
