Re: Where Cee Dog at???

This is a legitimate subject so why label someone's name instead of the actual title of the thread?

This has to be really embarassing for the Clipper organization. All I can say is "WOW"!!! When this gets out in public, this owner will be royally roasted!!

Re: Where Cee Dog at???

Just listened to the audio. She must have been trying to set him up.

Whether that's true or not, she brought out what was in his heart and she did a masterful job of it. This man will NEVER be able to live this down.
Perhaps Elgin Baylor was right when he sued and lost the discrimination lawsuit. Perhaps the jury got it wrong after all.

Re: Where Cee Dog at???

I think Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and the rest of the black Clipper players should tank the series against the Warriors and tell old boy to go f@ck himself. They will get paid regardless. Blacks run the NBA. Their are no more great white hypes. Blacks have way more power and control then they realize. Doc Rivers is old school and I would love to hear his take on this.

Re: Where Cee Dog at???

Donald Sterling doesn't like black people? Y'all just now know this? LOL. Ask Elgin Baylor. It's not like Doc Rivers doesn't know this either.

This is up to Adam Silver to do something, not the players.

If you think blacks run the NBA, you need to wake up. Seriously.

@birds_word: If the Clippers current players boycott, voiding their contracts. Y'all do realize they'd likely have to pay that money to...Donald Sterling

This goes with the convo in the other forum concerning today's athletes and their lack of activism. Them players are gonna continue to get their checks and probably cuss him out in their mind and at their homes but nothing in public.

Would you do anything different?

I was referring to on the court. Those black players are the reason the NBA stands stay filled and ratings remain high which leads to multibillion dollar TV contracts. Also, boycotting and tanking is totally different. NBA teams purposely lose games all the time for draft position.

And let somebody say something negative about gays or hurt a damn animal and all hell break lose. Boycotts and protests galore.

I would, especially if I was the face of the franchise like Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. Chris Paul has enough clout and respect around the league that he could damn near force the NBA to make that mofo sell the team.

Re: Where Cee Dog at???

It's 10:53am and I haven't heard a word about this on ESPN. Maybe I missed it if they did say something about it.

Not really.

There never would be a lockout if that were the case.

Not many knew to THIS extent or it would be public knowledge. This man used the word "enemy" and Black people in the same sentence.

Re: Where Cee Dog at???

I'm pretty sure everybody heard rumors, but to hear it come straight out of his mouth is totally different. The NBA has to act now.

Rumors?

Nah, this was common knowledge that Sterling was a racist, bruh.

So you're saying David Stern and others heard him say racist things? I highly doubt that. Even the Elgin Baylor accusations are shaky at best.

For more than two years, Sterling has been staring down federal civil rights charges related to his real estate holdings and rental practices. According to the Justice Department, Sterling, his wife and three of his companies have engaged in discrimination, principally by refusing to rent to African-Americans. In February, Elgin Baylor, the Clippers GM from 1986 to 2008, filed an age and racial discrimination suit against his old boss alleging, among other things, that Sterling repeatedly expressed a desire to field a team of "poor black boys from the South … playing for a white coach." Sterling's attorneys have denied the accusations. And even as these controversies swirl around him, Sterling is here tonight to receive a lifetime achievement award from the local chapter of the NAACP.

Stern didn't have to hear Sterling say anything to know he was a racist.
