The question was answered for you. :xeye: Did you leave your brain in the Ice Caps? It seems to still be in a state of deep freeze.

By whom? MH's post said TP complained about the 7-game format keeping them from the SCG. I asked when did he say the 9-game kept them out?

9-game
7-game

who cares.... either way, you're gonna have people complaining.

Bring on the 7-game mandate.... It's going to make TSPN very interesting this season. lol. No more cut and dry... "team X won the most games so they go". lol. drama is on the way. "some" schools are gonna be very happy at the end of the season... one school will for sure be highly pissed. lol.

:(

mighty hornet answered the question BEFORE you asked it. You were so quick to want to pucker up to JSU, that if you'd simply read where mh repsonded to Sog, (who, btw, asked the same question BEFORE you,) you would have seen the answer. Since it appears you are having trouble with basic comprehension, I will help you out. Below is mh's post regarding "who complained" about the mandate.

Posts by mighty hornet are in italics. That's very important, so pay close attention.

1999 Jackson State
2000 Jackson State
2001 Alabama State
2002 Jackson State
2003 Alabama State
2004 Alabama State
2005 Alabama A&M
2006 Alabama A&M

Also, had Hughes gone to Bham in 3 of his 4 years, he may not have been fired and JSU may have never had 3 back to back losing seasons which could have meant that we could have gone back to Bham from 2003 to 2006 at some point.

they complained about the 7 game format. just like they complained about the 9 game mandate.

basically, they just complain.

And if you'd REALLY read closely, you would have seen (in mh's quote of one of po tp's OWN posts,) that HE HIMSELF (po tp) admitted to complaining about the mandate. That is why it is sooooooo important to read carefully and completely before attempting to challenge anyone. That is a basic fundamental of language arts that is taught in every school system in this nation.

There you are!! How was the new swingset and merry-go-round?

Sog,

Any more questions?
It looks to me that he is blaming the coach (Hughes)..not the 9 game mandate directly.

I am convinced that you Bama's are slow. J4L and I have asked you both the same question and you still have not answered it.

OH MY!!! Your reading comprehension is at an all time low....or you just feel like making a nut of yourself.

I'm done. :smh:

What was your solution to those problems?

One solution is to identify cities or places where there is concentration of black college football fans that have no access to live black college football games. We can create classic type games, but ORGANIZE them as business units and operate them to maximize profits as you would do for any business venture. We could use our conference games to play these games, and keep all of the money for the conference.

This would require us to terminate affiliation with some existing classics that are not operated soley for the benefit of the SWAC or its teams. We must not simply take small payments for playing in a classic; we must find ways to insure that we get the lion's share of the profits.

Tp whined and complained about folks "back-dooring" their way into that damned game EVERY TIME they didn't make it, and you well know it. Hell, everyone on these forums know it! We're slow? You are the only person on here pretending that tp and other JSU folks didn't complain about that mandate before. He's spewing that Hughes mess as another one of his silly excuses. You are slow if you can't see that.

I knew you could be "different," but I never thought I'd see the day you'd even try to cosign anything tp posts. I guess the fear that your AD and Jones may make a liar out of you has you in a tizzy.

Some teams can put butts in the seats at home, so why should they move their home game.

Hey that's fine if schools like AAMU are willing to move their home games to do it. We aint.... unless our payout is more than what we would take in at home after expenses.

OK

I am still not for playing teams that are not on your rotation BUT as a JSU fan, I can't complain becasue it is designed for JSU-Alcorn-SU-Grambling.

Now, let's see if we can get SU to play us and Alcorn when we rotate off. I think GSU-JSU-Alcorn are all for keeping the games going.

Also, someone said that JSU complained the last time we had the 7 game format. Yeah, we did. Hughes was fired because of the 7 -game format. LOL at this excuse for not making it to the SCG. JSU was just not going to the game. If it had not been because of the 7-game format, JSU would have found some other way to miss the game.

yeah, you didn't belong in Bham in 2000 or 2002. I still make that claim. JSU was supposed to be there....but what's your point? We had to accept that your loss to GSU and SU did not count while we beat SU and you beat PV. However, in the end it was fair. Everyone knew we were the best team in the EAST.

Nope because back then you were having too many losses. You could not beat JSU, SU or Grambling and then JSU was beating you head to head...so we could have lost ANOTHER game and STILL went to Bham. We were just that much better than you and we proved it on the field.

Alum, I have always been for the 7-game format even if we got screwed.

However, please POST where I said the 9 game format kept us out of Bham. The mandate simply kept us from having a fun schedule.

You whined PERIOD, and that was the point that several folks made on this forum. This new mandate will not ease the pain upon our eardrums of excuse makers and whiners when their teams don't make it. Even YOU should be able to understand that.

Hey that's fine if schools like AAMU are willing to move their home games to do it. We aint.... unless our payout is more than what we would take in at home after expenses.

Granted... The point of any team being willing to move any game is that more money would be made by playing the classis style game than the home team would have made playing a home game.

By organizing the games as busines units, the business units are responsible for maximizing the amount of money that can be generated by the activity, and paying the schools an amount of money that would justify playing in the game. Any excess money (money left after paying the two schools) will go into a pot to be divided amoung the schools at the end of the year.

We would need to organize a number of these type games to significantly augment conference and school revenues.
