Can JSU's Defense stop SU's Offense in Trips Formation (Spread or Bunch)?

Wr vs.Db battles don't matter if you don't implement a strategy.... Yall do know what a trips formation is right? One of the hardest formations for any Defense to cover in football.....but it is also one of the most difficult to utilize efficiently offensively.

Playing a zone means no pressure on the QB, an experienced QB at that like Dray Joseph. This isn't a freshmen like Asberry threw in the fire. Also, Trips forces your safeties to make decisions instead of just sitting back. What Dray completes a slant pattern in front of the safety and takes a good angle?. That is how the SU receiver scored in 2010.

I'm gonna say this nicely, your football acumen is laughable, it's like you have Football Down Syndrome or something smh

. Damn, you than stole my strategy.

Let them tell it. Nobody have a chance of beating them. They are going to run the tables and go on to win the SWAC Championship. Nobody should bother showing up because the games are already won in favor of JSU.

Well... this is true. Tell the truth.. shame the devil.

... My observations from the JSU/Tulane game:
JSU was very strong against the run... Some missed tackles and T/O by the offense left the defense in some impossible situations...
There were times when the Jsu defense appeared to be un-blockable... Don't know his name, but their top LB reminded me of Jamie Payyon (SU LB 2011)... Kid has awesome football accumen...
I've always favored a strong defense over a pass happy offense...
Su took Jsu by surprise last year with our "Air Raid" ..... Won't happen again....

This is gonna be a fun game!!

That's not true. SU only had ONE sustained drive on JSU last year..

Just stop, dude....seriously....SERIOUSLY, FOR THE LOVE OF THE ALMIGHTY GOD..... just stop. :smh:

Two things comes to mind:

1. You weren't at the game
2. You know nothing about football...so why must you continuously prove that?

1. I was at the game but you SU people shole chose not to come..

Defined "sustained".

if you don't know what a sustained drive is... :smh:

J Richardson 86 Yd Kickoff Return (Matthew Hill Kick) ..this was NOT a drive!
Michael Berry 25 Yd Pass From Dray Joseph (Matthew Hill Kick) This was a ONE play drive!
Thomas Jackson 4 Yd Pass From Dray Joseph (Matthew Hill Kick) This was your ONLY drive.. I think you went like 60-65 yards to score.
Michael Berry 60 Yd Pass From Dray Joseph (Matthew Hill Kick) This was not a drive but I give your WR a LOT of credit for catching the ball, breaking tackles and out running everyone for a TD. So I will count that as a "drive"

But to say we were not ready for your offense is absurd. You scored off a turnover and a kickoff return. If your offense was all that, it would have scored more than 14 points.

Dude, you have to win in all phases of the game. Denver didn't have to drive the ball that much against the Raiders. LOL. Chicago did my Steelers with really just one drive the whole game. Hell Cutler didn't have over a hundred yards passing until the last drive. But them 5 turnovers will shole do it to you.

You act like you have to have long sustained drives to win football games. Big plays have always won football games. Not too many long drawn out drives at the college and pro level anymore due to the type of offenses being run. Oregon never has a long sustained drive. LOL. When we needed to get first downs and move the ball to keep JSU offense off the field in the 4th Qtr at the end of the game. What happpened?

Man I just showed your comments to some ex ball players from big PWCs that work with me and they busted out laughing. LOL.

They said, dude never played any type of football did he. LOL.

SU may blow JSU out...seriously. This my unbiased analysis of this game. I did say in a thread I predicted Alcorn vs. SU in Houston.

If JSU couldn't stop Stump's Trips with McGinty at QB, how can they stop it now with an experienced QB at the helm?

Good for them.. I am sure they went to some loser schools.

JR, the problem here is YOU changed the subject. I know you have to win all phases but RENOIR said that we were not ready for your offense. I showed you that was not true. If we were not ready for it, you all would have did us like Houston did ya'll.

Comegy said it should have been worse. We shot ourselves in the foot on 2 opportunities to make it 35-0. Your own coach said that as well. Hell, he said it could have been 42-0 before yall scored.

YOu can't listen to what Comegy says.. I don't. And on top of that, if he was right... so what. Most JSU fans know we were not a good team then. Look at how TSU blew us out.. We also struggled with TxSo. We had no identity then. We do now and yo azz bout to be kicked.
