Broussard to recommend hiring of Dawson Odums

Also this is not a popular recommendation so who knows what some of the members are thinking. A lot of them are new to the process. Not the same ole board.

As for opening the search up again if they say go back and bring us another recommendation. Then I would imagine our AD would have to contact Spady next or one of the other semi finalists. It just depends on how the board votes. We will see at 1:30 when they meet. Never know how many influential SU alums are trying to talk some of these board members about this decision.

Holding out hope for what Beans? Maybe you are hoping GR is not right and the BOS overturns this. LOL. I think he has a 5 dollar wager out there. You should take him up on it if you are so confident that SU BOS will confirm. Instead of you telling us Jags what is going to happen. None of us have said the board will overturn the recommendation. GR did though and dared any of yall to bet against it.

It is what it is for me. If they confirm. We get to move on quickly. If not then we are back at square one. Big Worm will have my support come the Fall just as any other coach would leading SU. I just know as long as you have a few characters on the board like TC. Anything can happen. Hell he might try to bring Doug in again. LOL.

Nah, I think he will get confirmed. But I also am no fool when it comes to SU Board politics. If enough Jags with money/clout get into a few of them board members ear already before they vote. It would not shock me if it is not a clean sweep for Odums. Yall don't understand because it don't work like that at JSU. We ended up with Pete because our President over ruled Casem. We ended up with Stump, because board members were not going to approve Doug who TC wanted. We got our AD now because the Chancellor's recommendation was rejected because of something that his candidate did not disclose in the interview process. So excuse us from not saying this is a slam dunk until it is voted and approved. We been down this path before.

Trust me though. I am willing to bet some opinions about this recommendation were shared last night with some of them board folks from some of their closest Jag cronies. Now whether it makes a difference. Who knows. Broussard may already know he had the green light for Odums. He could very well been the choice the BOS wants period.

He already proved he is better than Stump as a coach. So what is your point?

If you are saying he will have the same non success as Stump, then he will not make it pass the first season. LOL. Especially at what his salary is probably going to be. He will be sweating like your boy Comegy when our teams meet up next year. Both worried they could get bought out at any moment.

Ain't no past in BR. LOL. Like DCG done said and she was right. Odums don't realize what he just got himself into. Interim coach has no pressure. He will now. We all know he ain't going to be making 200K like Stump did. So if he don't produce early enough for the natives down in BR, he will end up like his predecessor Stump. Maybe even quicker.

JR, stop acting like a S. La person. Odums got the players up on emotions for these teams and he won. Period. Now, next year it will be different, cause emotions wont be involved this time.

Can't let you get away with this one Frat. SU problems aint Gram problems. We were in every game this year in the SWAC except the PB game. We got folks coming back. If anything, your team better hope all goes well with Comegy and company. He underachieves so much it ain't even funny.

It ain't hard to win in the SWAC. Everybody is about what and what. LOL. Ain't no clearly dominate squad.

Like I said, if he don't win at the salary he is probably going to get. He will be gone faster than you can say S and U.

Buy out? Everybody is done getting their money Beans. Stump's contract was up this season. We don't have to buy out anybody. LOL. Keep up man.
