Black Men and Facial Hair

tuffs?

I dont know no Grown, HETEROSEXUAL MAN that shaves his body (unless they are an Olympic swimmer). If its hair there, then its gonna stay there.

How would someone shave their own @zz? That's just gross thinking about it.

ROO!!!! Trust...my topic was on facial hair. I ain't no asshaver either!!!!

I DO NOT TRUST a Black Man under 55 that doesn't wear a moustache!!!
It has been my experience that almost all brothas that don't wear one are either

A: Crooks

B. Toms or on some level think they're white

C. The already noted GAY!!!

D. Some combination of the three

Think about it! Start paying attention to them. This does not count for non-American Blacks nor mulattoes..

E. Black men wear moustaches because the man didn't allow it back in the
day.

F. With rare exception, brothas look much better WITH the moustache.

Personally I'm so ugly without mine that a white MILITARY officer told "Don't EVER do that again!!!"

DON'T TRUST EM!!!!!!!

I'm doing the goatee thing right now and I plan to keep it like this for a minute. I tried to do the full beard a few months back, but it wouldn't grow in as full as it needed to. I may try the beard again once it starts to cool off in the Fall.

I've done the no-facial-hair thing in the past and received mixed reviews. No one really said that I looked back without it, but it definitely knocked several years off of my appearance. I look young for my age as it is. Without facial hair, I could easily be mistaken for a teenager.

I don't have any facial hair and I think that what you said was simply stupid, foolish, and just plain ignorant. Facial hair does not make a man.

I shave my stache from time to time because that shat can get irritating. I do have a small beard patch I always keep, though.

Facial hair does not make a man.

There it is.......

- I don't have any facial either, and the above comments are your opinion, based without facts!:xeye:

I have a goatee and I've had it since my senior year in high school. I've cut it off a few times and the looks I got let me know that I don't need to do that again. I also got the, "You look like a lil boy" comments, too.

I've been thinking about shaving it off for a few weeks just to do something different.

Oh well, despite not yet being 55, I'm gonna go ahead and shave mine again today. All that's gonna happen is I will be clean shaven...won't become a "Tom", think I'm white (hell the mirror will clearly show that) and won't be gay... I'm 100% heterosexual male!!!!

I just completely shaved my face about a week ago. It really makes me LOOK YOUNG.

I just got back from New Orleans. I'm 37 about to be 38 years old. The following happened to me in New Orleans.

At the hotel, my daughter and I were heading to breakfast (free at the hotel w/ a voucher). My daughter handed the lady the breakfast voucher and she said "No, you give that back to your parent". Then I handed her my breakfast voucher, and she said "No, you give that back to your parent".

I got carded going into the casino too!

Touchy! Touchy! :)

Neither do clothes, cars, golf clubs, degrees etc., but I'll bet most of the folks on here judge folks on these things. ALL stereotypes have a basis of truth to them. It SOUNDS stupid, until you start checking these brothas out! It even sounds silly, which it is SUPPOSED to. Ignorant? No. As another noted it is an OPINION, based on experience. So if by chance you are one of the few brothas that this profile DOESN'T fit, more power to you. Or, as you have reacted, maybe I stepped on some toes here!

I'm one of the "non-sterotypical" Alphas.(Bright but not square/nerdy intellectual; conservative, but not 'tired') So I know about labels first hand. I also work in school transportation, and often when I meet with Principals or the type they treat me and my colleagues like "lowly" bus drivers. So I have to overdress, and sport my big pretty class ring with the big Greek letters in the middle to even have a chance going in. At times I actually have to make comments to show that I not only have a B degree, but I have M as well. Many are shocked when they come to union meeting and see the same person they dissed earlier. They don't realize we're in the same union. They see bus driver. The same mistake nearly cost a secretary her job, and did cost her dept some $$$ for discriminating against me about a job for which SHE didn't think I was qualified. BTW, some of my drivers DO have degrees as well, but they are already retired, and drive for a hustle or boredom relief.

If I read your screen correctly, YOU are over 55!!!!!

Lastly, I did not say ALL brothas............ Nor did I say that brothas WITH facial hair are exempt. Since you think I'm trippin, start checking OTHER brothas out that have no moustache. Leave your own situation out of it, and see if you don't see that there's something to my "madness." I have friends who are "hairless" but I "KNOW" them to be none of the labels I have attached to the situation.

See my problem with your comment was this...."I DO NOT TRUST a Black Man under 55 that doesn't wear a moustache!!!
It has been my experience that almost all brothas that don't wear one are either"

In my 32 years of life, I have come realized that you can't judge anyone on their outwardly appreance. Stereotyping people is the quickest way to get taken advantage of and made a fool.

I don't have facial hair. Tried it....didn't like it. At the same time, I consider myself to be one of the most dependable and trust worthy people out there right now. Not to toot my own horn, but I can bet that anyone that is on this board and knows me will support that statement too. Not having facial hair doesn't make me a crook, nor does it make me gay, or even a want to be white guy.

What it does make me is my own person. I don't need anything to prove myself to anyone. Your post inflamed me so because as a black person, we of all people shouldn't be categorizing each other. For every trustworthy facial hairless guy out there, there is one with a beard. And just as with for every smooth talking no facial hair having gigalo, there is one with a beard and stache.

There are very few things that will get me warm, but your simple and ridiculous rant about why to not trust a black guy without a stache, beard, or goatee is one.
