The thing that I don't like about this is that it is leaving out those making over $125K. Why not forgive the amounts for all student loan borrowers?

I guess they figure, if you are making over 125.000.00, you should not need that much student loan.
Since most people haven't achieved it, there is little understanding of the ass whooping that tax bracket contains. Yet, I can't be upset at those that have been helped.

Just thinking for a moment, a slew of black government workers stand to benefit in a very impactful way.

Mississippi is ranked 50th in the country in education. It's pretty apparent that they don't give a damn about that because they thrive politically off of keeping people ignorant enough to believe that fox news and newsmax are actually real news outlets.

Biden has said he'll veto the measure, but his loan forgiveness program faces its true test at the Supreme Court, which is expected to rule on a challenge to the plan this month.

The Senate voted largely along party lines Thursday on legislation to block President Joe Biden’s student debt relief program after the measure cleared a key procedural hurdle in the chamber.

The 52-46 vote to pass the legislation comes a day after senators took a similarly close vote to proceed to the measure, which would repeal Biden’s debt relief program and end the administration’s pause on federal student loan payments. A few moderate senators — Democrats Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Jon Tester of Montana and independent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona — voted with Republicans on the final passage vote as well as the motion to take up the measure.

This is a damn shame. The poor and middle class have to scratch, claw and grovel for everything in this country.

So, its unfair to forgive student loan debt but we just gave 300 million more to Ukraine?
They're giving them weapons valued at $300 million, not actually money.

But the real man behind the curtain is that military spending increased to well over $800 billion and nobody is calling for that budget to be cut or asking how we are gonna pay for it.

Big difference between sending weapons and sending money. The other choice is to do like the Republicans did for 20 years and send kids to die. Whether we like it or not all Americans benefit from Ukraine fighting their own war.

There are a myriad of ways the government spends OUR tax money and subsidies other governments, the wealthy and other so called special interest groups that can be better utilized. They will even dip into folks social security investments…smh & lol

I mean at some point they have to be restarted if they aren't going to be paid off.
No, they don't. The debt is just canceled. Did the economy crash the three years these loans weren't being paid? Who or what was negatively affected by the student loan pause? Nobody and nothing.

They're now gonna make folks not only continue loan payments but pay all the interest that accumulated during the three-year pause. That's gonna be crushing for a good chunk of the population.
