It looks like someboddy is stealing something and everytime somebody tries to get a hold of the situation, they get fired. How many ADs and Presidents have to be fired before somebody stops this mess? This makes me sad.

He needs to read the comments at the end of the article.

Here's one comment by an unknown person that I found quite interesting:

Who brings an Ex-felon with them as a credible witness aka Freddie Gallot. This is not his first rodeo with mis-management of funds within a HBCU. The veil is being lifted on the Administration @ Alabama State University. Great Academics, poor administration.

Also, I like the fact the students are protesting against things they think are wrong at ASU, but they must realize that most likely members of the ASU Board was probably appointed by state politicians. Therefore they should also voice their dislikes to some of those politicians that have appointed individuals to the ASU Board.

They changed the President's locks to his office? Why the hell would they do that UNLESS the powers that be are perhaps trying to destroy evidence before it comes to light. This is some crazzy schitt.

Then some student in the audience yelled out that two females each got 3 million dollar settlements for sexual harassment suits brought against the school. That's when the guy ended the interview.:emlaugh:

I think it was $1.8M that she stated.

I sure hate this for Alabama State. :smh:

Knight may as well resign... its over for him. That whole video reminded me of some Lean on Me type scenes. Knight will never be respected by the students. I cant believe someone called him out on that sexual harassment LOL... Knight ended that interview SOOOO fast LOL

I dont know whats going on here

But Im going to find out

Let me tell you how you know them folks is lying? Anytime they bring a lighskinneded dude in to back up the story, they are lying. That guy was lying through his teeth with every damn word. Stop giving those politically correct answers. He wouldnt even say they locked Silver out of his office. They wont let him get to his files to prove his point. Old Silver better be glad he hasnt died of one of those mysterious AndrewBriedbart heart attacks. I knew them folks wouldnt be able to do this own their own. Now its a big mess. The AD and now the president have been put on leave. This is a shame.

I wonder did someone violate Alabama’s contract laws and was ASU being used as a means of getting individuals paid. Such as, if the final construction cost of the football stadium ended up going over the original bid amount from change orders, how much did it go over by? In most places, the maximum amount in change orders that can be provided to the contractor is whatever percentage required by the contract laws of the state were the construction is located times the original bid amount, provided that the change orders are required for the completion of construction and are feasible. Any amount over that percentage must go back through the competitive bid process. In Louisiana and Virginia, I think that percentage is like 15% of the original bid amount, therefore if a contractor’s original bid amount is $42,000,000 for a project, the maximum amount he or she can receive in change orders without going through the competitive bid process is $6,300,000, which is 15% of his or her original bid amount of $42,000,000. The maximum final construction amount including change orders would have been $48,300,000.

Jag89 is well versed in the game. Too much money flowing through black folks hands and folks is reaching in the till. Since ONLY outsiders are saying anything, all the old skool folks are involved.

It has always been like that. Our colleges, universities, and communities have always been used as a mean of funneling monies to other folks not associated with us, which is why Board positions at HBCUs have become very political.

Wow some real corruption going on here. If this was a mob a lot of people would be WACKED off by now smh, get it together ASU...

sure.
Football team has a game tonight. The stadium is shaping up very nice. I love the way it sits right at the interstate. It strikes quite an impressive view from I-85.
Tuesday, ASU received a multimillion dollar grant, which will allow the vision 2020 plan to continue on
ASU's new president took office earlier this week.

It's A Great Time To Be A Hornet!

ummm "thanks" for your "concern".
:scared:
I think you need to be "concerned" right about now.

:slap:  PREEEEEEEEEEEEEACH IT!!!!!! :slap:

There is a reason no one is ever convicted. These folks are sent in by the White folks in the state to do the dirty work. The state attorney generals never pursue charges either.....

How much do you think it is going take to keep Dr. Silver quiet and go away? Would $2 to $3 million be enough? Since they postpone the regular Board meeting on Thursday, I guess that decision would be made when the Governor gets back from France.

All though you are saying this as a joke, it does have some truth to it. A lot of lightskin Blacks that are placed in-charge of Black affairs are probably related to rich white families. For the same reasons why Morehouse and Spelman were established, most rich White dudes found ways of taking care of their Black off-springs that they had outside of their marriages.

Yeah....I remember something like this happening at A&M when I lived in Huntsville. I remember something about when they built the residence hall, the guy who got the contract to furnish the building, also furnished some hotels one of the State Legislators was building at the time. The residence hall ended up not have enough furniture, so they needed additional money to complete the project.....My facts may be a little fuzzy, this was in the late 90's or early 2000's.
