Bama calls out Boise State

Alabama athletic director Mal Moore told The Tuscaloosa News that he has never been contacted by Boise State to schedule a game.

Reached Friday for a response, Boise State athletic director Gene Bleymaier said it was because he wants a home and home, not a one and done on the road.

"We'll play anybody in the country home and home," Bleymaier told ESPN. Although Boise State's 2011 schedule isn't yet finalized, Bleymaier said the Broncos do have a Southeastern Conference opponent -- Ole Miss.

They flex like no one will play them but we all know they pick and choose their battles. Matter of fact have they contacted ANY SEC teams since they got trashed between the hedges by Georgia? Beating a sorry Virginia Tech and Oregon State isnt going to get them in the championship game.

One more thing.
We sure won't be hearing no wolfin' from the BIG 12 this year.

Oklahoma barely beat Cinci and TEXAS just got the crap beat out of them by an unranked UCLA team that only passed the ball 15 or 16 times the entire game. That was brutal the way UCLA manhandled TEXAS.

Bamma, Arkansas, Floirida, and South Carolina would kick Boise States azz this year. :lecture:

Bama would. I aint so sure about the other schools on a neutral field. Yall can take Boise lightly and think every SEC team can beat them if you want to. Spurrier might not have enough offense to beat them. But his defense is good.

Arkansas would play right into their hands. They would have the easiest time with them versus the others. I aint even a Boise fan. But this every team in the SEC can whoop their arse shole aint the case. Bama yes. The rest......it is a toss up.

Texas don't have a run game. Still can't figure out why Mack Brown has not recruited a top notch RB. Especially being in Texas.

Oh by the way. The SD State Jackrabbits........yeah them, held Nebraska to 17 points. They were averaging over 30 a game. This was at Lincoln.

Any given Saturday. Folks don't show up and you will get pushed or beaten.

Sorry JR but Florida has more weapons than you think. Our Backup QB had 6 TD by himself. And our Defense has pretty much been pick sixing every game. The Cupboard is in no ways bare in Florida. WE kick bama arse this weekend.

Those jackrabbits are winless at that.

I saw that.
Nebraska only scored another field goal during the second half because they only had 14 points at halftime.

All I got to say is if Utah can beat Bama on a neutral field, then Boise State can beat Bama on a neutral field.

Outside of Bama and Florida, the rest of the SEC is average at best. I would not be shocked if Boise blows out Ole Miss next season in Oxford.

Boise really hasn't played their best football this season to be honest with you.

Boise was clearly better than Oregon State, but let them hang around due to dumb penalties and a couple of lucky bounces. They were clearly better than Va. Tech, but the penalties and miss tackles allowed them to get back in the game.

I think Boise State's players are doing a lot of stuff out of the ordinary on the field to prove to people they deserve a shot at a national title.

I heard one analyst say that it would not help Boise's argument at all if they trailed in any game this season. I heard another one say that they need to basically win every game in blow out fashion.

Not only do they have to be perfect, but they have to be more than perfect. That kinda sucks.

Despite what Florida did on Saturday, I am not completely sold on Florida right now.

I basically agree. Auburn later in the year may be good enough to beat them on a neutral field, but at this point in the season I am not as sure. Boise State looks to be more in mid-season form than Auburn. While the SEC is good this year, I think it is bit of a down year for the league. LSU is very inconsistent-especially on offense.

I wonder why Texas has not worked on its run game, the line and running backs. A good running game is the best friend of a quarterback, especially a young quarterback. With the losses on offense, they will need a good running game. This week they play the Sooners.

As for Nebraska I will take their last game as an aberration. They whipped Washington at Washington, and it would not surprise me if they won the Big 12 North. I expect them to beat Kansas State.

Exactly. To be honest I think that Boise can beat any BCS team in the Nation on a neutral field. The best part about it is that they have been doing what they have been doing with out a top 20 recruiting class. Bama's AD is talking B.S. because he knows that he don't want a home and home with Boise St.

Jag, Boise does not even have a Top 50 recruiting class. According to Rivals and Scout, Oregon State, Kentucky, Louisville, TCU, Houston, Northwestern, Washington State, Kansas, Indiana and Duke have a better recruiting class than Boise State.

Wow.

First, how the hell are you comparing UTAH to Boise... saying that if UTAH could do it then Boise could too is a dumb argument at best. Secondly, Boise BARELY beat.. and should've lost to the same Virginia Tech that lost to James Madison. I'm sorry but your anti SEC arguments arent carrying much weight here. Not even paying kendrick any mind since all of his posts regarding the SEC carries the same tune no matter WHO the team is. This is the same BS argument people used that year Hawaii was supposedly some world beaters and get smashed by UGA in a bowl game. And on top of that, this Alabama team is NOTHING like the team they were when Utah beat them. If Boise would beat any SEC team then what you're telling me at this point is they can beat any team in the country?

Sorry but I dont see it. Speculation means nothing and no matter how "good" they'e supposedly been, other than a weak Oklahoma team and "TCU" they STILL havent beaten ANYONE.

LMAO... who the hell that already gets an automatic BCS bid DOES want to go play AT Boise State other than the likes of crap teams like Oregon State? What does it benefit them to lose a home game to go play them at THEIR stadium when there's NO benefit for anyone other than Boise? Using this logic it makes sense as to why so many schools are in the red considering MONEY comes FIRST. Why do no SOCON or CAA teams WANT to go play any SWAC schools at THEIR stadium? They gain NOTHING from it at all.

But at the same time, he doesn't want to be critized for it as well (he's hearing voices lol). He's probably saying "let me call them out before they do the same". Odds are if both teams keep this up we may very well see the Boise/Alabama matchup.

1. Comparing Utah to Boise State is not an invalid comparison. Any team can be had on any day by any opponent. Kansas, Ole Miss, Va. Tech and Minnesota lost to FCS schools at HOME no less. Michigan (ranked No. 5 at the time) lost to App. State at home. So yes, any team can be beaten.

2. Boise had a 17-0 lead against the No. 10 team in the country at the time basically at their crib. Boise allowed Va. Tech back into the game due to penalties, laying the ball on the ground and a few blown coverages in the secondary. It wasn't like Va. Tech manned up and overpowered the Broncos to get back in the game. Va Tech running backs were held to less than 50 total yards rushing the whole game.

What does that say about Va. Tech to be down three scores to a school which is ranked No. 59 in recruiting class rankings?

3. Look, I respect the SEC, but it's not like that is the best conference from top to bottom. Tennessee got housed by Oregon at home. Last year Boise State held Oregon to 8 points. The same Oregon team that won the Pac-10. Northwestern beat Vandy this season, and should have beaten Auburn in the Outback Bowl last year if their kicker didn't shank a game-winning try at the end of OT. Kentucky, Miss. State, Georgia (who have more arrests than TDs this season) and South Carolina, Arkansas and LSU are far from dominate. In fact, LSU nearly lost to a UNC team that was missing 18 starters due to suspension. I've said many times that Florida and Bama are the class of that league, but everyone else is up for grabs.

What! Mal Moore thinks that telling Boise to come play in Tuscaloosa with SEC refs is calling Boise out? that dude! if Bama is all that, they need to carry their behinds on out to the smurf turf and see what's what! but they're not going to do that because they last time they played someone decent away from Tuscaloosa that wasn't in the SEC (Utah) they got housed (couldn't beat them with a month's prep time, how sad).

The WAC is more than Boise St. Nevada is good also and put 52 on California last week. Who is say Boise St. make it past Nevada? We will never know because the big conference schools are scared to give the little guy a chance.

Chris Peterson is 52-4 as a head coach and has done so without a top 50 recruiting class. He has beaten ranked teams that were suppose to blow them off the field. They are for real.

Saban don't want none of Boise st. Sure as hell don't want to go to the smurf turf. Hell if Ryan Mallet wasn't so Favrish by trying to make crazy passes and just made the Routine pass them Razorbacks would have won. STC coulda kicked his 6'12 ass right in the thoat!!! Gave Bama the game.
