The SFC is pretty popular in my opinion.
But honestly I won't be surprise if TxSU and SU Texas State Fair Showdown in 2018 and 2019 beats out SFC. You heard it here first ... God willing I will be there

I see only PV and Grambling folks doubting the appeal of the TxSU vs SU game in Dallas which in my opinion is stronger than the SFC.
Check this out ...
1) Texas Southern/Southern bands have a larger following and are more popular than PV/Grambling bands. Don't believe me ... google it.
2) Southern fans travel the best in the SWAC
3) Interest in Texas Southern football is quickly growing again which means the fanbase is growing
4) Most black people in North Texas (Dallas area) never been to a Texas Southern or Southern football game which only heightens the anticipation. Most likely they've been to a SFC game at some point.

You take PV out of this discussion. We don't have the right opponents to be in the top. With them moving the SHSU game to Thursday right after the Labor Day Weekend will hurt the first home game.
You got to remember that your people will have to choose between this game and homecoming. Y'all not use to going on the road like that and coming to homecoming in the same month. Also, with it being the 3rd game during the State Fair, it doesn't attract addition people to come to the game and the fair. They already would have been there.
