I don't know. There will be penalties, no doubt. But not for a second do I expect anything close to what some of yall are posting.
Remember these violations happened a few years ago and since then, the university has taken some corrective actions. We also self imposed scholarship reductions for 3 years. Those actions will lessen the penalties.

I hope so for you all's sake.

MH...what do you think the punishment is going to be? I honestly dont wish anything bad on ASU and hope that the investigation will end soon, but thats ALOT of penalties.

This shat look's bleak.
668 violations?

Honestly.
This is ground's for the death penalty although I don't think they will go that far.
It's hard enough for BIG TIME U to overcome drastic NCAA penalties so this is going to be a 100 ton concrete block for ASU to hold up under.

ASU might be lucky enough to have enough schollies to dress out a full offense and defense.

Players, have the NCAA finished with FAMU yet? Cause if so, then maybe Bama St could use them as a measuring stick. But FAMU did have 165 violations or something in that range. 668 is somewhat a bit much. :smh:

But MH what about all the inellible players. Will you have to forfeit wins and that Championship?

Yeah, I totally forgot about that. Especially that 2001 Championship. I wonder will Darnell Kennedy be mentioned as one of the players that was ineligible.

MH and ALL You STINGERS,
I sincerely hope that ALL goes well for THE HORNETS and that this gets over ASAP so that your ATHLETIC Program can move forward again instead of treading water. Coach Barlow deserves a chance on an even playing field.:tup::tup::tup::tup::tup::tup:

If it turns out that shat happened during their championship year and they played ineligiable players, EVEN THOUGH IT'S NOT THE COACHES FAULT, the SWAC will have no choice but to strip them.

Meac strip's FAMU of Championship

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference plans to take away Florida A&M University's 2000 and 2001 football titles and nine other championships as punishment for committing 196 NCAA rule violations.

The penalties were listed in a June 29 letter written by MEAC Commissioner Dennis Thomas and sent to Joseph Ramsey II, FAMU's special assistant to the president for athletics.

The letter was a response to FAMU's self-reporting of a list of NCAA violations and suggested self-imposed penalties

Right! I wonder will the SWAC strip ASU of their 2001
title.

Yep.
Difference is even though FAMU was caught, their Administration came clean immediately and put a lot of self imposed penalties on themselves.
The ADM at Bamma State has been fighting this since the turn of the century.
The NCAA ain't gonna like that.
ASU is going to have to really take drastic measure's against itself to soften the NCAA blow.

FAMU put on 4 year's probation.

INDIANAPOLIS --- The NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions has placed Florida A&M University on four years probation and imposed a number of other penalties for lack of institutional control and approximately 200 other violations in 15 sports.

The institution has acknowledged that its compliance program was understaffed and inadequately funded, which resulted in an inexperienced and inadequately trained compliance staff between 1998-99 and 2004-05. These compliance shortcomings and the resulting violations led to a finding by the committee of lack of institutional control

ummm, you're so wrong.

ASU self reported to the NCAA. ASU also imposed penalties on itself. For 3 years, we reduced football schollys by 10 per year.

So what's the mood.
Do you think that will cool the NCAA off enough to the point they don't go overboard and pull a UAPB/Coolie on ya'll.

Honestly.
Who are people pointing the finger at over there.

Maybe so, but in the grand scheme of things, I personally won't lose any sleep if I'm "stripped" of a title years after it has been won on the field.

btw, even though we had the best team in 01, we didnt win the SCG that year. Gram did. (to this day, I still can't believe we let that one get away :smh: )

Just wait until they leave Sippi. :uhoh: :scared::sick:

They will leave in awe of JSU with a big arse STAMP's burger between their teeth.:swink:
We will provide them with a blueprint to take to Bamma on keeping atheletic program's str8.

this comes with the territory! ASU will get stripped of championships, they have to do that to show that their are doing their job! There is no way around this!

I don't know. But what I do know is that soooo many of the involved parties in this are no longer at ASU.

MH.
That would mean that the last championship ASU won was last century.
1991.....................17 years. :retard:

UAPB was put on a one year death penalty by the NCAA and the school administration added an additional year. UAPB cleaned HOUSE in those two years. We got rid of the entire coaching staff, band director, financial aid director, and chancellor because ALL were part of the violations. At homecoming, we had an old timers FLAG FOOTBALL game. It was UGLY my final two years in college without a football team. All of this over 92 NCAA violations.

I don't see how ASU is going to dodge 600+ violations, when UAPB went down for two years over 92 violations.

if so, then that would be on paper

but in reality, we won in 04. I was there to see it. I have the tape to watch it.

paper or real

I'll take the real.
