ANGELS

I read most of the Apocrypha writings and found them to be very thought provoking and entertaining. At best, they are questionable historical writings put together by the independent thoughts of man (i.e. NOT GOD-BREATHED). Thus, the Apocrypha writings are not inspired and should not be used for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness

Romans 3:1-2
  • What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?
  • Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.

The oracles of God (OT scriptures) given to the Jews were written in Aramaic and Hebrew, not Greek.

The Protestant Church rejects the apocrypha as being inspired, as do the Jews, but in 1546 the Roman Catholic Church officially declared some of the apocryphal books to belong to the canon of scripture because these book supports their belief of Salvation by works and Purgatory.

Jesus references the Old Testament ( The Law, the Prophets, and the Psalms), but never the Apocrypha writings;Neither did any other New Testament writers references the Apocrypha writings.

2 John 1:10-11
  • If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
  • For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

If we use any means to support our view, Are we seeking God?s View?

Is the book of Jasher the inspired work of God? It is not included in the 66 books, but is referred to twice (two witness rule) in the scriptures. Also, we see the scriptures refer to the prophecy of Enoch, which is not included in the 66 Books. When you read these, and other books, referred to in the scriptures, does that make them whole with the scriptures? Or does the Book of Life refer to lies to substantiate themselves? Also in the Lost Books, you have to detailed chronicles of the patriarchs. And, until the last 50-100 years, the Apocrypha was ALWAYS included with the bible, as it was translated with the rest of the books by King James.

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher ‡35? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

The Bible say that which is not of faith is sin (Romans 14:23). My faith has not lead me to believe that any books outside the 66 books of the Bible are inspired by God. Therefore, I can never encourage you to place your faith in them. However, I would ask you one question:

Do you find the 66 books within the Bible to be inadequate for your needs?

I would encourage all to read the whole Bible (the 66 Books) first before looking at other sources. If you believe there are more than 66 inspired books, when will it ever become complete? Will it be 73, 96, 101 or 200 books......Keep in mind, that which is broad (many) will decieve most...and that which is narrow will save a few.

Matthew 7:13-14
13. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Matthew 7:13-14 (Living Bible)
13. ``Heaven can be entered only through the narrow gate! The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide enough for all the multitudes who choose its easy way.
14. But the Gateway to Life is small, and the road is narrow, and only a few ever find it.

Becareful, my brother, satan flurish in the MANY, his goal is to direct us from that which is of God (via debating the validity of lost books, while not reading those that are easily found).

FYI: I struggle to follow the 66 Books, I don't need any more. So I will continue and endless effort to master the 66, knowing that I will never reach such a Goal.

Good Day and God Bless

So, are you saying the references to other books in the 66 books are confusion and that God issued his word (66 books) and that some of it came back void (books of lies referred to in the 66 books). If a source refers to a resource which is lies, that tells me the source is a lie.

ing 1 to 1

* Isaiah 55:11 KJV

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please , and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

* 1 Corinthians 14:33 KJV

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

I read lots of Books, some of which provided added insight to God's Inspired Word. However, God's Word (the 66 Books of the Bible) is what I subject all things, books, writings and spoken words to. I have no doubt that there are other books that were written by other (even prophets and/or apostles) that are good, but God did not deem it fit to allow them to be apart of the 66 Books of the Bible. Now you may say that man selected these Books, such is true; however, man (even an evil man) is just an instrument of God.

As far as the Bible referencing other Books:

As you know, the books of 1&2 Kings offer many details about the Kings of Judah and the Kings of Israel. However, the books of 1&2 Chronicles speaks only of the Kings of Judah. Yet, in 1&2 Kings there is reference to "the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel". Example: 2 Kings 10:34:

2 Kings 10:34. Now the rest of the acts of Jehu, and all that he did, and all his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

This book is not included in the Bible, if lost, missplaced, or just forgotten about, it was God's will that it was not included in the 66 Books of the Bible. If I had the Chronicles of the kings of Israels, I would read it and subject it to the other 66 Books of the Bible.

Again, I am completely satisfied with what God has provided in the 66 Books of the Bible. If I seek out anything, it would be to understand the 66 Books I have, not to debate..if other books are valid.

Again, I ask you. Do you find the 66 Books of the Bible to be inadequate for your needs?

Good Day and God Bless
