Alcorn State hosting the SCG is proving my point

This game (going forward) does NOT need to be hosted on a SWAC campus. Our facilities simply can't handle it.

I'm told a number of media outlets are not being granted credentials due to not having the appropriate space.

I know this may not matter much for fans, but it is a relevant point.

I figured this would happen. It will be nice to see a full stadium but dang

Not being able to plan my travels out in advance kept me from going to this game. When it was set for Birmingham, I was planning it and was ready to pay for travel far in advance to make it but then word got out about it moving. With no set destination with a bigger lead way, I decided my pockets wasn't that deep for a 1-2 week notice.

Slightly Off Topic Side Note: Birmingham is expecting Scattered Thunderstorms/Thunderstorms around game time and into the night with some possibly severe. Should be Sunny without precipitation during those hours in Lorman (and Jackson)!

Ken, stop being a back seat driver. We have long agreed a local stadium is not large enough. . In all honesty with the exception of JSU no school has a home facility large enough to handle this event. Additionally, who can get ready for something like this in two weeks. I'm not going to blame my school I blame the SWAC office for moving from Legion Field. The game could have been held on Sunday obtaining an exception from the NCAA or moved to a larger venue. Even LSU may have allowed the SWAC to use their stadium. So no more arm chair quarterbacking. Move on.

We played FAMU at LSU in the late 70's. Not sure about playing the SCG in a 90K+ stadium though....LOL

I didn't realize I was being a "back seat driver." I'm not blaming ANYONE for the current situation because I'm actually grateful for the fact that we are having a SCG this year when at one point it was a fact that we were not.

I don't know who the "we" are with respect to those who indicated that the SCG should not be on campus, but there are plenty who still believe that it should. I'm simply providing a real-time example of one of the challenges associated with having this game on campus.

It's crazy how people are still.saying Birmingham

Last time I checked they are the ones that told us to go kick rocks...not the other way around, so it's crazy that we are putting that aside for what. I understand media etc, but when a city basically TELLS you to go fuck yourself, AND then you find out ..IT was all for nothing .. Why even give them the satisfaction of hosting a game again.. WHOS TO SAY THEY WILL NOT DO IT AGAIN.

Signed contract and everything and basically put us down to second fiddle (the MCC is gonna find out the hard way as well when they build that new stadium). If I'm the commissioner, that takes them completely out of the running for me.

I can understand the media aspect (I've had to hear it since last Friday at least) but dollars and cents will always win out. I don't think Dr. Mac will care too much about a media person who doesn't wanna sit on the grass (when you have sideline credentials)

All media don't have sideline credentials, that's mostly reserved for photographers. All sidelines arn't created equal either as some barely have space for people to get by to go from one end to the other end of the field. I don't think no ones campus stadium can provide the media space in the pressbox to handle this game.

Move it to Shreveport at the Independence Stadium.

That's the only stadium you know about since you always say "move it to Shreveport"

What's the problem with Jackson? Jackson is do-able. Alabama...a stretch. Jackson, Houston, New Orleans... Even Dallas?

You haven't been in their press box either. They put the opposing teams radio person on the roof.

Ok, pick a location that is central for all of the SWAC teams and then build on the game! We bicker about every little thing!
