Alcorn Narrows Head Football Coach Down to 3


You guys can right, click, and save this statement:

"BRAVEHEART123 supports Melvin Spears as Alcorn's New Head Coach"​

And just add some more SWAC Flavor.....maybe add Daryl Asberry or Mark Orlando (MY CHOICE) as Offensive Coordinator.

BUT Brandon Bridge is going to have to work on his deep ball. Is it possible that Bruce Eugene can come be our QB's Coach?

Defensive Coordinator....Hmmm...I have no idea.

But the Seahawks guy....leave him where he is at (see Stump Mitchell)

If you knew what I knew, you would be more worried about Valley than Alcorn. The Mississippi SWAC is about to be decided between Valley and Alcorn on a more regular basis now. You and your Blue Bengal faithful hung yourselves by putting pressure on Comegy. But please proceed with your point of view.

Alcorn has always been waiting in the wings to win the SWAC. A win here or there and they could at least go to Bham every now and then...but Valley? :lmao: Ok, they might get lucky and beat JSU once every 20 years but that is as far as it goes. As BCF goes, the MS Delta belongs to JSU. No part of the state belongs to Valley. Alcorn only has the Southwest of MS on lock...and some of the neighboring LA towns like Vidalia.

Spears wouldnt be a bad hire though.
Then it would be interesting to see what ole Fred Mc could do at the collegiate level.

Nope, Ferriday is totally Grambling (colors and everything). The only one that went to Alcorn from Ferriday is one of my young cousins. The other two cousins are currently in Gramblings band. Bogalusa is Southern.

:xeye: Dude, Ferriday is an extension of Grambling, Vidalia is an extension of Grambling/Southern, and Natchez is an extension of JSU. Alcorn is extension of Hazelhurst and Fayette. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep... and oddly Jonesville is mostly SU and La Tech (go figure). SI is Grambling, ULM, and LaTech....but up around the Ditto Suburbs (lol) of Sicily Island where I'm from... "I thought you knew"
 
I'm from Natchez and I can tell you Ferriday is nothing but GSU!!!! Vidalia is open up in the air!!! People from Vidalia go to Alcorn, Gram, and SU. Natchez is far from JSU it is very much Alcorn, now I will say there is a lot of JSU and SU supporters and Alumni there also but very far from a majority, example is in my household, My mother is a graduate of SU, my father of JSU, Me, my sister and brother Alcorn
 
My wish is for Melvin Spears to be Head Coach and maybe, even though I doubt it, Fred McNair be QB's Coach. I don't know of many applicants for a job advertise in the newspaper who they think is going to get the job ahead of them. Might an inside message to Coach Spears that "I'm available for assistance". I don't know. Spears may just decide to call the plays himself. But if does want an OC, Fred McNair would be a good fit. However, all this really cannot even be speculated until a Head Coach is decided. And just to stir the SWAC pot, I wonder if Daryl Asberry would be willing to come on as an assistant?

Oh and Coach Comegy...I heard that your expertise is defense. If I were you, I would throw a big "FU" to JSU for not giving me my contract extension by taking a paycut but having a guaranteed job by accepting a defensive coordinator position.

For what. Asberry is the Head Coach at Shaw......current CIAA Champs. He aint going to nobody's assistant anytime soon. LOL. If anything Alcorn should have called him as a candidate for the Head Coaching job.
