Well said man. There isn't much out there and we may sacrifice a few thousand fans from what would gather in Jackson, but we'd make up for it in the end.

Besides, in my opinion, that the true "Soul Bowl" that I remember attending as a kid.

Again, I don't totally agree and I think Alcorn is going to end up moving some games to Jackson anyway. Yes, logically Alcorn would make more money if the game was in Lorman BUT the next year, they would make exactly $00.00 so you have to consider that when talking about the finances of this. The Alcorn side of the stadium was empty in Jackson last weekend. I would be surprised if 5000 people were over there. However, if Alcorn wins 5-6 games, that game is going back up to 50K fans. I don't care how you do finances with parking etc...Alcorn cant make the same off of 25k as they can from 50K. But at least if they have a good year, they can move the game if they like and keep all of the proceeds.

Well, if ya'll got the same amount of money as we did this weekend, ya'll pimped JSU because JSU was responsible for 80% of the ticket sales. That was the worst display I have ever seen from Alcorn fans. What a way to support your new coach!

Man these small time schools just can't get it right. :smh: Alcorn I don't blame you. Alcorn is much smarter than Jstank. :uhoh:

Not true. The game was at capacity on both sides. :shame:

da point and 99, that statement right there (and there were others) is WHY bluedog posted the attendance at the games. :goodbad:

Yes, but why compare attendance figures for JSU/SU with JSU/ASU?? THAT part doesn't make much sense. GR was talking about attendance for the Alcorn/SU game. He should've posted figures from that game.

Get real people. It's not all Alcorn's fault. But seeing how yall keep harping on what Alcorn brought (or didn't bring) to the table, guess that "bailout plan" and "welfare" stuff go right out the window. This game is really one of the smaller classics in bcf. So, Alcorn is right to move it back.

Oh lawd.
Play in jackson, play on the reservation, bamma's in here trying to get their hate going.............Who cares.:retard:

This game was taken from the fan's and became a money maker for the promoter decades ago.

1pm start's , etc,....................:(

Dude, it's not surprising that anything with a JSU title on it brings automatic hate from you. The game actually had around 40,000 which were overwhelmingly JSU fans. The majority of the few Alcorn fans who decided to show up left after halftime any way. Yes, it IS their fault. It was THEIR home game. Duuuuhhhhhh!!!!

You just worry about bringing more fans to the Crampton Bowl than JSU the next time we play yall there.

If not for the MCC and Turkey Day Classic, your season attendance would be a laughingstock, just like your football team.

TP, this is where most folks lose sight of the big picture. Alcorn's athletic budget for the year the game's played in Jackson would suffer mightily. I think their former school President, Briscoe, realized this.

In addition to that, Alcorn would have to payout thousands and thousands to host the game, so after all of that money is counted, what's left over may not be what Alcorn would've originally made if it was still part of the CCC.

MH, no it is not Alcorn's fault. It's no ones fault. This game is NOT a Classic. It's just another football game. Nothing is unique about a BCF game in Jackson. You can't compare this to the once a year events in Chicago, Indy, Bham, and Orlando. This game goes as the teams go. If Earnie can turn Alcorn into a contender, we will get this game back up to 55-60K. One thing our fans don't understand is upsets! They say oh...Alcorn is 2-8 so JSU is gonna win instead of thinking they have a chance. If Alcorn gets 5-6 wins next year, the Braves will show up and their AD is gonna think twice about moving that game. We had 45K in Comegy's first year because both teams entered the game with winning records. I don't think this game needs a promoter tho.

When was the last time JSU played in front of a 60K crowd? :uhoh: Just asking..............

When was the last time AAMU strung together 2 game's of more than 10,000 at home.
What year...........What game...........When?
Just asking.:)
ya'll can't even get 10,000 for homecomming. :lmao:

You negro's get 1 game, every year, on a neutral field, in another city and that's it.
And 90% of them don't GAF about Bamma South or North.
Just somewhere for black people to go in B-Ham every year.

You all only do that sh@t once a year. Take that game away, what's your average attendance? JSU and asu was NEVER a classic. They hopped on the classic band wagon because that was McNair's last game.

See we don't brag on attendance like yall. I mean if you are big time you should get 60K games more than every 10 years. :emlaugh:

See this is why JSU is such a loser school. You can put A&M, Skee Gee, Miles, Stillman, Bama St against each other in Bham and we will out draw JSU,MSVU and Alcorn all day any day. Tell the truth shame the devil. Yall are sad.

Man, mothersuck Alcone. Tell them to win some games first before they start trying to dictate where they want to play us. :smug:

So what you're saying CD is that yall will go to "the man's" stadium and shuck and jive, but you won't shuck and jive at your own house? This gives new meaning to the old saying...."the man's water is sweeter than ours.":shame:

Cee..SMH

Who cares about one game at 70,000 then you come home and play in front of 2900.

The CCC has reached 60,000 this decade more than once. The undercount prevents real attendance anyway. The Su game had almost 60,000 in it and under the stands.

But we don't brag on attendance cause we have proof and stats to back it up. No need to brag. Now why are you in this conversation again?
