Reading is fundamental:read::lol:

Exactly...go back and re-read what I posted and to the comment I was replying to. You are actually agreeing to what me and CD are talking about. The stupid statement (as you called it) was made by your cohort.

Geesh

huh?

An SU/Alcorn game is nowhere near the draw as a JSU Alcorn game in Lorman. The SU game in Lorman this year was nowhere close to being full on either side.

Not true. The game was at capacity on both sides. :shame:

da point and 99, that statement right there (and there were others) is WHY bluedog posted the attendance at the games. :goodbad:

I'm willing to be that half of these JSU folks that are saying keep the game in Jackson haven't been to Alcorn since JSU last played Alcorn at Alcorn. Back then, the stretch was two lanes and full of curves. Back then, Highway 61 from Port Gibson to Natchez was two lanes.
The stretch has been four laned and straightened out. Highway 61 between Port Gibson and Natchez has been opened to four lanes. That alone has eased traffic considerably. There's no telling what other advancements will be made by 2010 to ease traffic.

I say we move the game. If the JSU folks don't want to come, oh well.

I understand why Alcorn would want the game at Lorman! Some Alcorn fans feel like they are at a Jackson home game when they come. But if u have never been down to Lorman there its one way in one way out, deer crossings, all the time no where to stay or nothing, traffic would be horrible and like they said earlier when the game is in Jackson there are events all around the game, places to stay, eat and shop! It would be like moving the BC to Grambling or SU! U cant see it happening and I am so serious moving the game to Alcorn would be a bad move it is so damm kuntry down there its horrible!

Since when did JACKSON become the mecca of the South!!! Aint sh$t in Jackson!!!! Everything nice is located in Ridgeland, Madison, etc not in Jackson!!! Looks like that is where everything is picking and going! There was NOTHING to do in JACKSON other than them lame a$$ clubs for the CCC!! Metro-Center for what its worth could close down! So don't come down if don't like it! You won't be missed!

Why are you so :kaioken: I think 50 percent of JSU fans said if Alcorn wants to make it a home-and-home more power to you. You know darn well it would be soldout in Lorman because JSU fans will come. I just don't see it being a good move financially but its Alcorn's decision to make.

I don't care what they do. If they move it to Corn then fine
if it stays in Jackson thats fine also.
.... but I've noticed for the past so many years that Alcorn fans do not support HOME games. Homecoming every year they have about 5,000 fans....
when SU or GSU visits the reservation, alcorn have about 9 or 10k brave-fans to show up and the rest of the stadium is packed with SU/GSU fans.
Alcorn fans ONLY travel to JACKSON! Or is it that they only pay to see Alcorn play JSU? Which is it?
The crowds they bring to Jackson are 5 and 6x larger than their HOMECOMING crowds. Which I think is CRAZY!

So if their fans ONLY pay to see Alcorn play JSU then It might benefit them... b/c they will have about 15-17k brave fans show up in their stadium. which wouldn't fill up the stadium w/o JSU fans showing up...
But if its true that Alcorn fans only show up in Jackson then Having the game at home will be a low brave-fan draw just like the rest of their home games.

so I say they're gonna do what they wanna do and I'm not going to cry about it. B/C I'm a true JSU fan and I'll be wherever I got be to see my Tigers play. The mafia will be there in full force and having the game on their home turf will not lower our chances of Winning the football game. (ask Valley)

The CCC has never been a "BIG" game to me. Its just a regular game. I don't think about it until that week rolls around. So the "CLASSIC" title can be erased. Make it Home-Away, I'll be fine with it. (Just as long as its a DAY game  B/C those deer at night :shame: SCARY! )

So when are yall constantly "half-way" sold out at your stadium???? Please let me know? I guess the deer beats getting robbed and cars broken into:shame::shame:

Look, an azz whooppin' iz an azz whoopin' no matter the venue. Work on getting a better team, then worry about the wood shed. After all these years some schools haven't changed their mentality and still wondering why they have losing records. They must want espn2 to televise the game rather than espnu. :smh:

....Yea and you work on getting that stadium.....

We've already came to that conclusion!

ATLBrave... why are you so mad? We've basically all said we don't give a fugg where the game is played. LOL. I dont mind coming down to the corn and kickin' yall's arse... been there, done that.:(

Man, you Alcorn folks sure are sexy when yall get mad!

Go head and tell em Alcorn...fukk J-State!

And just how the hell would you know that? 1) Y'all can't count 2) You probably can't remember the last time you've been to Lorman 3) The capacity is only 22,500, the hump is free.

Alcorn Fan: I'M SO SICK OF THIS SH*T. YALL JUST WANNA KEEP THE GAME IN JACKSON. IT IS NOT A TRUE NUETRAL SITE CLASSIC. IT IS NEVER A HOME GAME FOR US. THAT'S BULLSH*T AND WE AINT TAKING IT NO MORE.

....Yea and you work on getting that stadium.....

You work on getting the game to YOUR stadium... then you work on getting FANS adn STUDENTS in YOUR stadium. Then demote Jones to the team's OFFICIAL HYPE MAN then hire a REAL coach and not a cheer leader!

But Just be patient, It won't be long before JSU take over slawcorn's campus.

*when Bell was our Coach those Braves loved coming to Jackson :lecture:
but now that things are back to normal its a PROBLEM! :noidea:
you can run but you cant hide!

Alcorn does not have McNair anymore. I really don't think they realize that if they play JSU in Lorman that JSU will STILL outnumber them 2-1!

I think Alcorn's new AD is thinking the right way, in terms of why he wants to move the game back to Alcorn. Alcorn doesn't gain anything by playing JSU every year in Jackson. Yeah, they got the payout but overall they lose.

Think about it, when Alcorn plays on their campus, they make ALL the money there's to be made. They control the parking, the concessions and the tickets. They could charge parking when you come on campus. The point I'm making is this; they would've made more money this past weekend by having the game in Lorman, even if the crowd wasn't as large as it was (in Jackson).

And, by having the game on campus, works to help sell season tickets and helps in recruiting. Besides, how do you get a kid to go to Alcorn if you limit the opportunities to have people come to your campus??

But like somebody else said, it doesn't matter where they play us, it's still going to wind up being OUR home game....

:D:D

Well said man. There isn't much out there and we may sacrifice a few thousand fans from what would gather in Jackson, but we'd make up for it in the end.

Besides, in my opinion, that the true "Soul Bowl" that I remember attending as a kid.

I don't think the conversations have been that serious. It's a win for both schools. If the move happens, just "wipe your feet at the door" and come on in.
