Wow mh

Do you love womens BBall this much, or do you hate JSU that much? In all you have posted, Freda has really only had 1 good year in 6. She might be a good coach, who am I to say otherwise, but she aint no Denise Taylor. She aint on Denises level. Denise could leave right now and go "back" to the professional ranks, and Freda would have to stay in the SWAC or the CIAA or something like that. Denise has the total package, while Freda is Freda and she is right where she needs to be.....comfortable in her element. Plus Denise is sexy and could GET IT.

Definitely the latter. I'll guarantee you he won't be in Montgomery Saturday. Biggest game of their (the women's) season. Probably haven't seen 'em play since Freda got hired!

ummm, I've never heard it done after 2 seasons. Have you?

Maybe what you JSU folks are saying is that everything Freda and ASU does is to be discounted, since she started 3 years before Taylor.
:smh:

head to head------Freda wins that one
best regular season finishes-----Freda wins that one
best tournament finishes-----Freda wins that one
most tournament championships----Freda wins that one

None of that is disputable. Those are FACTS.

but yet and still, we're on page 3 and you JSU folks are still disputing facts.
And you got the gall to mention somebody being naive!

damn!

(this is an opening AGAIN for one of you JSU folks to show how/where Taylor has topped Freda)

what a joke

tbf started this topic and you insecure JSU folks just couldnt stand the fact that somebody had a few nice things to say about ASU. In all your hate, yall hijacked this topic (about womens bball) like somebody cursed out your mommas!!!!
Just look at the number of JSU folks who have come crying on this topic.
It's downright ridiculous!!!
Seriously!!!!!

In all you have posted, Freda has really only had 1 good year in 6.
hahahahahaha, that right there shows either you're full of hate or you're just plain dumb. which is it?

She aint on Denises level.
You're right. Freda has passed it. See, Freda has won the tournament. "Denise" aint even been beyond the semis.

Denise could leave right now and go "back" to the professional ranks
and that is based on what?
btw, is Denise in the professional ranks now

After TSPN had to hear about football at Wake Forest and Indiana, I would have thought you would have learned a lesson about bragging about where a coach has been in the past!

When you start getting on a personal level like that, you really start sounding even more ridiculous than you normally do!

btw, did you see Freda when she came to Jackson and kicked yall arse in January?

A 4 page topic on women's basketball all because you JSU folks hate ASU.

That's downright sad. For real!

Practice what you preach hypocrite. You call Blacknbengal out like that all the time. How many times have you challenged him on how many JSU games he has attended??? But you can't take the same thing in return! You are pathetic dude. :shame:

you really will say anything. You must really, really hate ASU, way beyond TSPN!!!
:smh:

I bet it burns you up when ASU whoops JSU!!!

and all this "watch this yall" stuff is sooo elementary. We use to do that in 3rd grade.

all this because tbf started a topic complimenting ASU's staff.

beyond sad!!!!!

So have you found the quotes where I disputed facts yet, or are you still looking?

MH, Taylor has topped Freda by winning the SWAC title in her second year. She is 1 for 2 so far. She also has 2-20 wins seasons to her credit in just 3 seasons. Freda did not do that. Neither of those. It took her 5 years to win anything.

ummmm TP,
when Taylor was doing that, Freda was doing it better.

see Freda was winning the regular season and the tournament title. see Freda was kicking SEC and Conf USA arse. see Freda was winning 20 games. see Freda was recruiting girls that lead the conference in scoring, in rebounding and see Freda was beating Taylor 4 out of 5

You see Freda had to rebuild this program next to nothing. According to what Mach posted, JSU had won the SWAC as late as 95 and Taylor was hired a few years later.

Our women's program had been reduced to nothing between '95 and the time Taylor was hired 6 years later.

Nevermind. I got my media guide.

95-96: 15-13
96-97: 15-13
97-98: 21-8
98-99: 18-9
99-00: 8-19
00-01: 8-18

01-02: 16-13 (Taylor, playing with leftovers)
02-03: 23-6
Currently: 21-5

so just a couple of seasons before Taylor got there, JSU was winning 21 games and then 18 games

now for Freda

There were teams that we hadn't beat in eight or nine years before she got here," said Harris, who spent time at ASU in several capacities before Freeman-Jackson arrived. "For us to be where we are now is really something."

For the third consecutive season, ASU likely will go into the SWAC Tournament as the first- or second-place team and one of the favorites to win it all.

Since Freeman-Jackson's first year in 1998-99, ASU has had six consecutive winning seasons. That's a rather remarkable feat for a school that had just one winning season in the six years prior to Freeman-Jackson's arrival

MH, it is not our fault that your program was garbage. It will soon be clear that the best wbball, mbball and football programs are at JSU. Our next step is to get a bball coach to show SU how to play ball.

Freda has done a great job. I never disputed that. But so has Taylor. Sure JSU won 21 games a couple seasons prior to that, but those players were long gone when Taylor got there. She inherited 6 girls, who had won a total of 16 games the previous 2 years. She got that total in one year with the same girls. You cannot ignore this.

And yes, Freda came in and beat some teams that Bama State hadn't beat in a while. Kudos to her. But you can't exactly penalize Taylor's success just because JSU hadn't had a history of losing to teams 8-9 years consecutively like ASU had done.

What I'm saying is this: Taylor inherited a losing program. Regardless of how successful JSU had been in the past, when Taylor got here, the program was in ruins. She resurrected it immediately. Yes, the same can be said for Freda. She turned around a losing program as well. I never knocked her on this thread.

TP,
The point I'm making is to show where this program was when Freda got there. It was in the dumps.
Before Prodigy posted those records, yall were trying to give the impression that Taylor had worked an equally remarkable job of turning the program around, when JSU was a couple of years removed from a 20 win season when she was hired.

A program in the dumps is a program in the dumps... regardless of how long it's been in the dumps. Any losing team is gonna be hard to turn around. It would be senseless to get into a debate about who had the tougher task of turning around their respective program. It's not even that serious. If it's coming to that, then I'm done with this discussion.

Prodigy,
If you go back through this thread, I've repeatedly said that I'm not knocking Taylor. She's done good too. The point I'm making is that even though Taylor has done good and deserves credit, Freda is not to be shortchanged in that process. Look at what she inherited----nothing. And she's done nothing but had winning season after winning season.
Who knows what the future holds, but right now, Freda has won the regular season and has been in the last 2 finals and is the reigning tournament champion. All this and the nucleus of the team should still be intact next year.

that's a understatement....the way JSU folks jumped all over this topic:lmao: :lmao:

Maybe I'll start a topic how ASU buses run better than JSU's :lmao:
