go back and read that article and see where ASU's program was when Freda became HC.

Look at where she has that program today.
Her numbers speak for itself.

Maybe you made a mistake in posting this thread and saying nice things about ASU's coach and team. Some folks just can't stomach it.
 
According to this, Freda ain't done jack!! It took her six years to win a title.

We're only talking bout in the last 3 years that Taylor has been at JSU.

gon on and SHOW how she has topped Freda. I'm waiting. Show how she has a better head to head record vs Freda. Show how she has finished ahead of Freda in the regular season. Show how she has finished ahead of Freda in the tournament.

Uuuh, that is not a fair comparison. Freda had a three year start..What you can do is compare Freda first three years to Taylors.

And that is what being discussed MH. Now if you count 2003 and go up 5 more years, you only see Ala St there once. So, Ala St only won it once. That is what this discussion is about.

That would be the silliest comparison ever.
Heck, Taylor wasn't even coaching then. What we can compare is what they did in 2002, in 2003. Both were coaching then. They were coaching against each other.

You're really grasping at anything now to try to justify the crap yall were saying. And it simply, doesn't work.

In EVERY objective measure since they've both been coaching, Freda comes out on top.
That's not a knock on Taylor, that's just the truth of the matter.

Deal with it!!!!

MH, the discussion was about Freda's 6 years in the SWAC and her accomplishments. Am I wrong? I know we're comparing Taylor's and Freda's stint in the conference against each other, but the initial comment about Freda's 6 year record in the SWAC is what I'm referring to.

Nope, that wasnt the discussion. The discussion became Freda vs Taylor from the outset.

Now that it's sooooooo obvious that Freda wins that hands down, some folks want the discussion changed to what Taylor will do in her first 6 years or what Freda did 6 years ago, as if I said Freda was the best 6 years ago.

I could agree with you only up to a point...and that is the fact that you are giving Freda a three year head start. The first year, Taylor had to work with left over talent. By the time you try to start comparing, Freda was working with her own recruits. Not fair.

So now its about who's accomplished the most over their career? If that's the criteria, then Alcorn's or Grambling's coach should be the person. The bottom line is this: What Taylor has been able to accomplish in her first 3 years make her the best coach in the SWAC.

Nope, it's about the last 3 years. I guess you were blown away when I posted Freda's accomplishments and thought those were for 6 years, but thats what she's done in the last 3 years. I'm STILL waiting for someone to post comparable stuff for Taylor!!!!!!

Well, MH will it be fair to compare Freda's first two years in the SWAC with Taylor's first two years in the SWAC? Could we do that?

I wrote this before the board refreshed and I had seen your last statement. So you can overlook this.
 
It would be fair if both of em were coaching then.
Did Taylor have to coach against the good Gram teams of the late 90's? Or any other team then?? NOPE!!!!!


but both Taylor and Freda have coached against the same teams in the last 3 years, so we can compare that!!!

I've already posted what Freda did during that time, and I'm STILL waiting for somebody to tell me how Taylor topped that.

No you can't. You can't make a fair comparison when one coach took over a program 3 years ago while the other one has been at a place twice as long. If you choose to overlook this, you're overlooking a bunch of important factors.

The only fair comparison is what they were able to do at similar stages of their career.

I guess based on that line of thinking, John Fox is the greatest coach in NFC history.


With that wishy line of thinking, all a coach has to do is win some regular season games and he/she too can be considered the best. It doesn't matter if he/she doesn't win anything in the post season, they'll still be considered the best. Heck, you don't even have to make it to the championship game, you'll still be the best

for some "strange" reason, None of the JSU folks will post any real numbers or accomplishments to show Taylor has topped Freda. All we hear is a bunch of talk.
I posted Freda's accomplishments. If yall so hellbent on saying Taylor is better, surely it aint hard to post her accomplishments and have those accomplishments blow Freda out the water
