 at the peeps who said Crowell will have the same success running behind a Bama State O-line as he did behind Georgia O-line...But I did see ASU got some talent out there...but coaching kills...they need to really find away to use Crowell...

He dont play Defense! Everyone keeps talking OFFEFNSE OFFENSE OFFENSE.... when BCC just RAN for 400 yards on ASU defense.

You folks over look the most important thing, BAMA ST got Fred Kaiss as a OC. :lmao:

WELCOME TO BLACK COLLEGE FOOTBALL

I was thinking the same thing Dahill.....there is not a difference....Its hot as fugg and humid in central Alabama.

Oh well,we'll just have to settle for 11-1. Barlow and staff failed to make adjustments at the half.

There were no adjustments to make. First of all, Jenkins aint that good and he doesnt have a good arm. Secondly, when Crimewell quit on yall, you didnt have anything else to go to. You tried passing the ball, but like I said, Jenkins aint that good. Theres nothing you could do to stop them. If you cant stop the run, you just cant stop the run. And when you committed too many people to stop the run, they bombed your ass. So there is nothing you could have done, just face it, they were just waaaay better than you.

Their run defense sucked last year

Exactly!! When the BCC coach finally realized that Bama State couldn't stop the run, guess what....HE KEPT RUNNING!! That's coaching 101, something many of our SWAC coaches can't comprehend.

They couldn't stop the run last year, but some teams kept throwing the ball against their sorry run defense.

BCC just demoralized Bama State's defense by running, running and then running some more.
On offense, they forced Bama State to pass the ball, which they couldn't do with any consistency.

Who da-hell is instructing on tackling and getting off blocks. The linebackers for State played tango with the linemen when running backs were prancing by. The backers did not have enough football gall to even reach for the passing runner. The DB then had to reach to tackle the runner. I would not be surprised to see 2 DB's in the top 3 in number of tackles.
Dang SWAC schools it is now embarrassing playing in the Challenge.:splat:

The defense basically melted out there. after that 2nd quarter score bama state was 3 and out nearly every drive until the 4th quarter. bcu couldn't score early but they didn't have 3 and outs. they would go 6 or 7 plays before giving the ball back. by the time they got to the end of the 2nd quarter the defense was done.
on the otherside after 2 long 1st half drives it looked like the offense didn't want to play anymore either. they're good, but they've got to get tougher. can't let the heat take your heart.

Correction 3 RBS over the century mark.

3 different RBs in 1 game, each with 100yds behind their name in the first game of the season? WOW! Pretty impressive.

Does anyone know if Isaiah Crowell got more than 9 carries for a total 18 yards? I'm not trying to be messy or smack......but I don't know what point in the game that he had these stats. I'm thinking it was early in the game & his numbers went up by the final score.

Nope...thats all the greatest "recruit" in the history of the SWAC got. He quit on the team and didnt want to play once he got hit in the mouth. I tried to tell them,...oh well

:(

Well, we (SWAC) got our first game out of the way, and thankfully I don't think any players got hurt. Can't speak for the remaining 9, but I'm glad this first week is over for us. I haven't seen my boys since our Spring Black&Gold scrimmage, and based on what I saw Saturday, we have much, much, much to work on, especially offensively. But now Coach Coleman knows where the weakest areas are & will work the team harder.

Lord knows we HAVE to improve......in my honest opinion, we just played our softest opponent, and even then we struggled. Our schedule doesn't get easier in the weeks ahead.

I agree with you 1000%. This is what AAMU does to us every Magic City Classic plus there is ALWAYS ONE Special Teams breakdown that loses that game for us. EVERY YEAR!

Has anybody seen seen MightyHornet? Did he leave his lucky hat in Orlando? Did he get eaten by Shamoo. Maybe he is still sitting at the stadium waiting on bamastate to stop the run? Maybe he is waiting on Cromwell to have a breakout run. Somebody check on my boy.
