Amazing how it is always the posters from the 2 schools in the SWAC that have never been to a playoff and never been in the running for a playoff slot that are the ones so dead set against it.
It's more "amazing" that schools "that have never been to a playoff" have just as many "wins" as a school that has gone 13 times. :retard:
but I guess if the little engine could (and finally did), then maybe......that's your inspiration.....one day.....:scared:

but I digress

I guess, in yall eyes, schools shouldn't have an eye on their bottom line. I simply asked if the playoffs are good deals financially. The diversions are giving the answer.

Why don't any of you urge your presidents to vote to end the SCG?

Man, those no dues paying busters go to their President's office with that nonsense, he would call campus security and Officer Otis and kick their behinds off campus. :emlaugh:

You dummies aren't going no where but to the SCG. From your track record it looks like it will be another 14 years or so before you go again. And please don't speak on financial issues and stay in your lane. Remember you are the Einstein that thinks one football game can substantiate an entire university budget. Focus more on solutions for those criminal athletes and keeping them out of the news and in prison.

Spoken from a true fool just said you guys dont want to compete and keep it moving..

As I see it only GSU, ASU and AAMU have dominated the SCG, if the SWAC decided to play in the Playoffs only these teams will get a bid. Keep the SCG so the bottom feeders can have a chance to play for a championship.

Is this a mutual feeling about other sports or just football? If being the best in the land includes beating Mr Cahrlie's schools than I guess you're correct. If you whup Mr. Charlie, he has to respect you. Scoreboard........nothing else matters.

Does this ONLY work for games in November? Because when SU beat NWSt., Nicholls, and whoever else, I'm sure it wasn't in November.

SCSU beat up the MEAC two years in a row and kept getting sent to Appalachian State .... on what f-ing planet does THAT make sense to you?

I'm not necessarily against the Playoffs sans the financial piece, bidding, and time frame, but y'all FCS-all the way guys kill me when you haven't thought of ONE reason why jumping into the playoff picture as it is constructed today would help the SWAC? If a recruit sees you get shalacked at Old Dominion, wouldn't he want to go to Old Dominion instead of your school?

Get regionalization and bidding OUT and maybe I'll think about it.

And before anyone ask. Yes I would skip going to the B.C. to fly down for a playoff game on Mumford.

Would you to watch Southern at New Hampshire? What about Montana? Maybe SHSU? Because that game being in Mumford is a very remote possibility.

This is like watching a train headed for collision and destruction because the conductor can't see what the engineer is trying to tell him---i.e. "we are on the wrong track!" :shame:

AAMU is a brides maid. You all would not qualify for 1) A birth due to being a champion 2) A birth due to finishing in 3rd place 3) Anything at large. You have been dipping in the sauce again. :emlaugh: A playoff would lease impact the 3 teams that you listed based on classics and AAMU's track record.

If one of our teams make a legitimate run in the playoffs (and yes we would have to beat the #1 team for a couple of years to gain some respect) I think the landscape of the SWAC would change dramatically.
As far as traveling for a game like that.... well we do it for classics, why not the playoffs.

Can you address all the goo-gobs of money the SWAC is raking in now from the SCG and these Thanksgiving weekend games? Where is the money and what have we got out of it as a conference. From the looks of things, that crap is a zero sum gain financially with all the broke mofo's playing in these games and are still broke.

Or better yet, just say you don't want to compete with anyone outside of the HBCU world in a playoff. That would be more honest than all these lame excuses.

Couldn't us non-playoff people say the same about the ones of y'all that don't compete against the FCS PWC's in the regular season?

Would you be opposed to S.U. playing an all Louisiana fbs/fcs non conference schedule for a couple of years? (even in basketball?)

I knew that was comming also. Try some new lame excuses as to why ya'll run like scared rabbits when someone say playoff. Just admit you scared MH because that lame old JSU has no playoff wins don't have shat to do with the clowns running this conference acting like isolated 1950's mentality sharecroppers scared to play with "massa."

Problems with waiver info, other problems outlined in audit of Southern University

BATON ROUGE, La. — An audit of the Southern University System for the fiscal year that ended last June says there is no evidence students at the Southern Law Center and the New Orleans and Shreveport campuses were informed in a timely manner on how to apply for hardship fee waivers.

The university acknowledged that it was late adopting a system-wide policy on fee waivers, but said campus websites have information on the waivers. It said it's taking steps to posted waiver information in various social media.

The Legislative Auditor's report, released Monday, details several alleged errors or omissions in various aspects of the system's fiscal reporting and records.

In a detailed response, the university disagreed with some of the findings, but also outlined numerous steps it is taking to improve timeliness and completeness of financial reporting.

The steps include new written policies and timelines for compiling financial information and the formation of steering committees to promote communication and adoption of "best practices" in business administration and information technology.

So again answer me this how has the Bayou Classic help Southern Financially?

What little money we do have comes from the BC for athletics. If that game does not generate due to a date move. It will be even worse for SU. The playoffs are not going to put money AT ALL in SU's budget. I am just being real. It has nothing to due with us participating or not. I am just saying what other FCS schools have said about the playoffs. It has been countless articles on how they lose money. But the difference is that NONE and I mean NONE of our schools alums give like those FCS powers. The small FCS schools are not winning in the playoffs. It is the big ones. Meaning ones with much larger enrollments and money in their pockets. None of the small schools win that playoffs. See yall get confused because yall look at a school like North Dakota State and immediately think a SU or JSU is bigger than them because of where they are located. But those schools damn near have Ole Miss and MS State enrollments. They can AFFORD to lose money. We can't.

Now, don't get me wrong. I would like us to compete nationally. But we got to get our HOUSES in order. JSU is never going to beat those beat FCS schools. Yall can play them 30 times. You may get lucky once or twice. You just don't invest in your program like them other folks do. It is not a knock against JSU. It is all of our HBCUs. We don't write checks to help us compete with those App States, Montana's, Sam Houston State's etc...

The small FCS schools like us, Nicholls St, SE La, and many others have no chance either, until we fix what the problem really is. We got to stop overpaying for these sad arse coaches, we got to recruit not just black kids, but good white or other ethnic background student athletes and we got to play these schools in the regular season every year. You can't just win the SWAC after playing each other and expect to go beat one of these schools UP NORTH in their weather and win. Some of yall just want to go the playoffs with no plan. Just have SU, Gram, and Bama State move their games and get that auto bid and then we will deal with it later. We will be 0-60 if we don't have a strategy. That will have to come from all the Conference Presidents and a STRONG KNOWLEDGEABLE COMMISH and each schools ALUMS buying into this and not just sitting at home for games when we play those FCS PWCS and also hit the road with the same excitement and numbers when you play them as well. There is work to be done to compete the right way. Just getting the bid aint nothing. Move the damn games and I will bet money none of us will win a game for years in that playoffs if we don't change our OVERALL way of doing business. The truth is that most HBCU fans could care less about playing these PWCs. You have to realize our fan bases just don't consist of us who went to our respective schools and are educated about FCS football. Most of our fan bases have no fugging clue.

Couldn't us non-playoff people say the same about the ones of y'all that don't compete against the FCS PWC's in the regular season?

Why would they want to schedule us when the fools running this azz backwards conference has already told them to go FUGG themselves.
