Why not? It should be the conference bid to do as they please.

:lmao:

OMG.......... :lmao:
The SWAC is now going to tell the FCS playoffs who they gonna send to compete instead of the FCS invitation bid spelling out who reps the SWAC. :lmao:

Man so a 3rd place SWAC team against another conference 1st place team and we expect to get respect as a conference like this? :smh:

Im convince not too many of you were athletes and competed for anything! :smh:

That is your problem, you are too focused on getting respect from Mr. Charlie. The playoffs is a zero sum gain financially. I am convinced that some of your comments are attributable to the dumb jock typecasting...

Her wezzzzzzz go.
Now its all about the "pro-playoff" crowd wanting respect from MR CHARLIE and YT. I was wondering when that played out 1950's shat would be thrown into the mix. :lmao:

You can't dream up logic that is more fantasy than some of the posters thinking here. I say again. These people are so delousional, they walk around in a constant dream.

I don't think some got the message from Lincoln that we're free to integrate and participate.

****NEWFLASH***** we live in an INTERGRATED SOCIETY we do not have to be the best among HBCU's anymore we can go to the playoffs and be the best in the country like every other conference besides the SWAC wants to do! And how has the Bayou Classic helped the SWAC financially let alone Southern and Grambling! I'll wait on your response...

Is this a mutual feeling about other sports or just football? If being the best in the land includes beating Mr Cahrlie's schools than I guess you're correct. If you whup Mr. Charlie, he has to respect you. Scoreboard........nothing else matters.

It has nothing to do with that stupidity about integration. It has everything to do with common sense. The SCG makes much more sense than the playoffs. I said get the bid and send the 3rd place team. So what in the hell does that have to do with segregation? (not a damn thing). The Mr. Charlie example had everything to do with a subservient mind set that supersedes common sense. I am telling you that a bunch of you all have inferiority complexes and don't know it. It is the same reason why many athletes overlook character and go straight for Becky when they get a little money. There is something working much deeper in the psyche that needs repair.

We are focusing on the football playoffs and options. The FCS playoffs is a remedial system. The best way I can put it is it crowns the Valedictorian in the special education of college football after taking their money and telling them to be happy. I cannot endorse giving them the best until it is reciprocated monetarily. BTW, you can become president of the U.S. and some of the Charlies of the world will not give you respect but neither some Jamal(s). That is one of the reasons I can give two shiats about their respect.

And before anyone ask. Yes I would skip going to the B.C. to fly down for a playoff game on Mumford.

Please explain how a broke Southern University Athletic department is going to PAY to host a first round playoff game (and then give the NCAA 90% of all sales)? :emlaugh:

Im not bout to argue with sir because u obviously know nothing about SPORTS period no matter if u played or not to even true discussion about it...Athletes want to play against the best...if I am the SWAC Commissioner why would I want my 3rd place team to play the OVC first place team what sense does that make? so the SWAC team can always be dominated by another conference 1st place team...

Problems with waiver info, other problems outlined in audit of Southern University

BATON ROUGE, La. — An audit of the Southern University System for the fiscal year that ended last June says there is no evidence students at the Southern Law Center and the New Orleans and Shreveport campuses were informed in a timely manner on how to apply for hardship fee waivers.

The university acknowledged that it was late adopting a system-wide policy on fee waivers, but said campus websites have information on the waivers. It said it's taking steps to posted waiver information in various social media.

The Legislative Auditor's report, released Monday, details several alleged errors or omissions in various aspects of the system's fiscal reporting and records.

In a detailed response, the university disagreed with some of the findings, but also outlined numerous steps it is taking to improve timeliness and completeness of financial reporting.

The steps include new written policies and timelines for compiling financial information and the formation of steering committees to promote communication and adoption of "best practices" in business administration and information technology.

So again answer me this how has the Bayou Classic help Southern Financially?

More stupidity....... Your puerile banter has nothing to do with my sports knowledge and everything to do with your asinine view being questioned. If the SWAC can get an automatic bid and able to retain the SCG, I would do both. My priority would be the SCG period. The third place team would go to the remedial playoff. I will agree to disagree with your view. Jsu has done nothing to make me believe with their 0-13 playoff record that it would make much of a difference.

More ignorance. You have to be dumber than anyone could imagine if you believe one football game can resolve financial hardships for an entire university. With all of the budget cuts and reduced philanthropy you have the idiotic and unmitigated gall to post that poor attempt at demagogue. Get a life! This says a lot about your irrational judgment and decision making abilities. :emlaugh:

Can the folks in love with the playoffs please address that?

Can you address all the goo-gobs of money the SWAC is raking in now from the SCG and these Thanksgiving weekend games? Where is the money and what have we got out of it as a conference. From the looks of things, that crap is a zero sum gain financially with all the broke mofo's playing in these games and are still broke.

Or better yet, just say you don't want to compete with anyone outside of the HBCU world in a playoff. That would be more honest than all these lame excuses.

Amazing how it is always the posters from the 2 schools in the SWAC that have never been to a playoff and never been in the running for a playoff slot that are the ones so dead set against it.

Broke Schools playing in suppose to be money games...and still broke how does that add up...I would accept it if they said they wanted to keep tradition going but they are saying they are gaining financially without providing any numbers to back it up...thats what HBCU's do.....
