The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to make their first trade of the NBA offseason. The team has reportedly parted ways with point guard D’Angelo Russell and center Timofey Mozgov in exchange for Brook Lopez, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical:

The Los Angeles Lakers have made their first big move of the offseason, and surprisingly it didn’t involve Paul George. The Lakers have agreed to deal D’Angelo Russell and Timofey Mozgov to the Brooklyn Nets for Brook Lopez and the 27th pick in the NBA Draft.

The deal cleared out a ton of cap space for the Lakers in 2018, but it could also be a precursor to another move. According toMarc Stein of ESPN the Lakers are trying to land George for the 27th and 28th picks in the draft plus either Jordan Clarkson or Julius Randle:

The Los Angeles Lakers are turning over every stone in hopes of landing Paul George in a trade with the Indiana Pacers, and that includes discussing a possible swap of lottery picks with the Sacramento Kings.

Citing sources, NBA.com's David Aldridge reported Tuesday the Lakers talked to the Sacramento Kings about flipping the No. 2 overall pick in Thursday's draft in exchange for pick Nos. 5 and 10. The Lakers' goal was to snag both lottery picks in hopes of packaging one with the 27th and 28th selections to bolster their package for George.

Just days ago, the LA Clippers officially announced the hiring of NBA legend and Hall of Famer Jerry West as a team consultant. The Clippers, who have lost in the first round of the playoffs in two straight seasons, are perhaps looking to change things up with their roster this summer. According to Chris Haynes of ESPN.com, one name is already being tossed about in trade rumors: All-Star center DeAndre Jordan.
Haynes reports that the Clippers are starting to gauge trade-market interest on the star big man with several teams:

"It's either Boston or Cleveland but he's going," a league executive texted Goodwill.
Stein also reported the Cavaliers are still chasing Indiana Pacers small forward Paul George.
However, the Los Angeles Lakers appear to be leading the charge for George—who reportedly covets a union with the Purple and Gold, according to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Who? Butler?

“In talking to league execs belief is growing that if Paul George is…traded before the draft it’s going to be to the Lakers,” Windhorst said. “He has made it clear through his agent that he does not intend to extend his contract with anybody, under any circumstances, except the Lakers, and therefore, it makes it very hard for anybody besides the Lakers to give up any draft assets for Paul Geroge, it’s just not worth it to them. The Lakers move yesterday gives them multiple assets. League agrees that price for PG would be peanuts if LAL aren’t willing to include the number two pick and they’re not. Indiana has to decide, if they want draft pick compensation for Paul George, the Lakers are the team to make the deal with and the deal is to be made between now and tomorrow night.”

Nick Young declined his $5.7 million player option for the 2017-18 season Wednesday and will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, according to the team.

The Los Angeles Times' Brad Turner and The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the news.

Young spent the past four years with the Los Angeles Lakers, and his lone season under the tutelage of head coach Luke Walton proved successful enough that it could net him a nice payday this summer.

It appears as though Danny Green isn't the only member of the San Antonio Spurs' roster that's on the trading block.

According to a report from Sam Amico of AmicoHoops.net, the Spurs are dangling LaMarcus Aldridge in trade talks in hopes of landing a top-10 pick in Thursday night's NBA Draft.

Per Amico's sources, the Sacramento Kings are considered to be one of the biggest threats to make a move for Aldridge as they own the No. 5 overall pick as well as the No. 10 overall pick.

Rumor has it that Kyrie wants out of Cleveland. He apparently told Jimmy Butler not to come to Cleveland because of Dan Gilbert.

Good, he seemed to lack that killer instinct in San Antonio.
