2014 Jackson State Home Football Ticket Prices

Our tickets increased a few years ago and everyone on this board complained then.
It didn't haven't anything to with a Grambling then and it doesn't now.
We knew tickets would go up once the admins started working/planning on getting an on campus stadium.

If you've never purchased season tickets; now Is the perfect time to start buying them.
Seven JACKSON State Home Games?
Yes indeed. Great Season Deals we got going.

I'm good with the season ticket prices offered by SU. I always purchase at least two sets from the SU ticket office no matter the cost. However please know the following statement was made by a jsu person.

You may be on to something. To everything, there must be a strategy. Maybe, they want to see who is REALLY ready for the dome. I remember last year folks were angry because they didn't get cupholders in some sections of the loge seating areas at hornet stadium. Bottomline: ppl knit-pick and obsess over the smallest things. If you love your institution/the game, Pay the price.

You would have a point if the dome was for JSU football. The dome will be paid for before the ground is broken...and I am sure we will get the state to pay for upkeep.

That is the FAMILY PACKAGE they got posted on the ticket sight. That would mean they giving the Family Package a 50% discount at $150 per GA season ticket for a limited purchasing time. I better get on this and get 4 for $300.

Family & Friends Package

Family & Friends Package consists of 4 general admission season tickets
When purchased between Mar. 18, 2014 & May 7, 2014 will cost $300
When purchased between May 8, 2014 – Aug. 29, 2014 will cost $400

Yeah, I think the smart thing for us to do is get people to go together to get the Family and Friends deal.

I plan on going to FAMU, SU, and Homecoming... That's $95 for three games. So with the family pack, I would get those three for $75...and have 4 more tickets to give away. I normally get reserved seats but I rarely sit there because I typically bring people to the games with me.

We need to have a meeting in the DEN on some of these Friends and Family packages...LOL

I know I'll be getting the friends and family package. I only need 2 tickets but bill find somethig to do with the other 2.

It's interesting how perspectives are different.

On a certain SEC school's message board, they are complaining about being required to pay $5000 per year PLUS buy tickets and their seats are still at the edges of the stadium. Their donations are not big enough to get them seats nowhere close to midfield.

And folks here are complaining about $150 for seven games.

Interesting.

Family deal is $300 right? So, find another family and split the cost. I get in free (hahahaha) but my mom is going to ask my aunt to go in on the family deal. My aunt has a child and husband so she will pay $200 and my.mom will get 7 games for $100. That is a GREAT deal!!!

Man quit. SEC football is pretty much a corporation. A multi-million dollar industry, and as close as you can get to professional football. We're talking about SWAC schools.

And at the end of the day, even those folks are still complaining as you mentioned, so that works against your point.

That is a GREAT deal!!!
It may be a great deal to the diehards and others who choose to take it. But let's not kid ourselves into thinking everybody will. And definitely not the casual fan or the person who might be interested in going to a game. Tickets for those people would be $50, $60. That's high.

Man 300 for 28 game tickets in that family pack is insane.

When will you stop whining about us whining?

You are too funny! The last time I checked GSU showed up to Bayou Classic, following that we showed up in Houston and gave yall the L which prompted yall to fire your coach and hire Mudbone Skillet as your new coach.

If folks don't want to pay that price, they don't have to. Nobody is forcing them. Those who want to pay, will.

This train of thought should not be your mindset if you are in a leadership role with the program. Your main focus should be getting butts in the seat. If more people are in attendance, the numbers will always work out.

The focus of any administrator is and should always be about increasing revenue.

 the administration doesnt really care about butts but more about the revenue, I buy season tickets for me and the wife and end up giving a few away because we cant make it. I know a few JSU admins who do the same.

Its a balancing act. You can lose money if your price points are too high or low. Also, you can't really predict these things because our crowd is based first and foremost on how well the team performs. If the team goes in the tank early the price won't matter - we won't be able to give tickets away. So the smart play now is to push the savings you get from season tickets and reserve the right to adjust prices for certain games as the year goes on.
