40 the day of the game. I hope next year we charge them 50 for the tickets we send em and 45 in advance and 400 for the buses.

Game day tickets in Baton arouge were $50 last year which is why we purchased our's via Ticket Master that Friday before we drove up from New Orleans.

Once we got on campus, no one on SU's campus knew where to pick them up.

OK................$30 for Virginia Lynchburg?
I'll be in Hattiesburg Sept. 6th pulling for a Alcorn upset. :lol:
 
These prices are not that bad...get season tickets. We are charging $50.00 for games that will draw more money thus creating revenue. We are not charging these prices out of spite for an opponent. I will be at all these games. As for baton rouge, they can charge .50 cents for the tickets and im still not going lol. So show uo if you want to see the game, stay at home if not.
 
Lets see how the increase ticket prices will impact attendance. I'm not sure if this is a drastic increase for JSU, but when SU drastically increased its ticket prices, attendance did drop off. It's not a wise decision for schools to double their ticket prices overnight and expect attendance not to drop. Sometimes I get the feeling that our administrators do not understand what is meant by "INCREMENTAL INCREASE OVER TIME" .

Those prices are horrific. I'm sorry but no one should see any SWAC school in any stadium play for more than $25. Esp. in a stadium that holds 60K+. It's not like seating is limited enough to drive those kind of prices. Avg. game day tix shouldn't be more than $15. VA-Lynchburg needs to be a family day game- $5 per person.
 
I think season tickets are only $100 so anyone within a two-hour radius of Jackson needs to take that deal... NOW!

I agree but maybe high prices will encourage a culture of buying season tickets. For our slate.. $100 is worth it for FAMU, Grambling, SU and Valley. ..and then you get three more games.

But they need to really promote the single game prices vs the season ticket price. General admission season ticket price makes each game $15 each.
 
If I am reading this correctly, this is a GREAT deal. You get 4 season ticket packages for $300. Thats only $11.00 per ticket.

But still bro, I never understood the taxing on game day crap anyway. Where are the box seats in Memorial? Are they worth 60 bucks?

We won't complain and don't need visiting fans to pack our stadium but as other JSU fans said, some of those prices are over the top lol The 30-50 is not bad. Folks are still going to come to the SU vs JSU game anyway. Hate to compare but its like a LSU vs Bama game. Folks buying and they don't care how much.

(before I'm accused of hating by the usual folks, my post applies to ASU too)
I don't understand the pricing "strategy". Not so much for us diehards, because we will pay it, but if I'm a "casual" fan or even just looking for something to do on a Saturday, I would be less inclined to choose to go to one of these games if I got to pay up to $50 per person, then pay to park, etc. It's almost like we're pricing out a potential bigger audience.
