TP, we figured out a long time ago we don't need JSU to make it the SCG. Sad JSU hasn't figured that out yet......

AAMU won't beat us. Bama State is unpredictable. They have been quietly acquiring talent over there.

At least you have realized that you can't beat JSU. Keep placing your hope in others. This defense we return this year will be number one in every category!

Dude....look, Lyvonia wins 3 games a year on average. SU cant win 7 games because Lyvonia cant win 7 games. Why would SU win 7 games this year? Why? What has SU done for their fans to expect them to win 7 games? Did they get a new line? New coaching staff? Is Lyvonia still calling the plays? Different defense? Is that LB they had last year still on the team? Did they get a defensive line since last year?

Come on man. If SU is 1-3 after Sept, they better be happy. Didnt they lose that big Black WR?

SU is in horrible shape. Now that most of Petes boys are gone, they have no talent. The only talent Lyvonia brought in was a kicker that only hung around one year. Please bruh...SU is about to see the blues on the bluff. Its about to get ugly. LOGICALLY they win 2 maybe 3 games if they sneak up on somebody. I can see them struggling with Alcorn and Valley. After that I dont see them winning another game. They better be careful with Valley and Alcorn...both teams have better coaches.

Gramblings pass defense is horrible. How can your players be on the AllSWAC list if your pass defense is terrible? There is noway Richard Hughes shouldnt be on this list.

How the hell is our RB not on the list because of someone from Alcorn and Valley? Really? Those RBs wouldnt even be on scholarship at JSU. This list is a preseason and post season bunch of lies every damn year. This some bull.

And JR...how the hell does anyone from SUs line get on anybodys list for any damn thing? Just look at your linemen. They are terrible. You have the worst run defense in the SWAC...in the country. Yall are terrible on the line. Just because someone has been there for years doesnt mean they deserve to be recognized. This some bull and you know it.

Last season we went 4-7, but they lost games against JSU, FAMU, PV, and UAPB due to not being able to finish in the 4th quarter and not having a reliable option for kicking FGs. With a good S&C program in place and more depth and experience on the team, those issues should be taken care of. I believe we also have a FG kicker now. Fix just those 2 problems and we win probably 7-8 games last season.

The talent is there, and the team showed flashes of being a good team last season. I believe that the team can build on the positives from last season and make a push for a good season. So with more depth, experience, better conditioning, and better special teams, the team will be in better position to win those close games.

Yes, the team could easily fall flat on its face and have a horrible season, but they have just as much a chance to make a run at the championship.

First of all he is not a TE? Are the TE pickings that slim that a wr has to be slotted there. And secondly Mr Butterfingers is the reason we lost to bamastate and Grambling with his game winning touchdown dropping ass.

They just need to let me do the pre / post season list going forward cause this is always some bull.

Barlow stated to AAMU's beat writer that he lets his 7 year old daughter fill out the ballot.... he says SWAC coaches dont take it serious.
 
I can see SU beating PV. They were simply the worst most untalented poorly coached team I have seen in the SWAC this century. So there are 3 games you can win but you can also lose those games

Speak for yourself. JSU never loses to AAMU when it's halfway decent. Comegy is 4-2 against Barlow, so what's your point? We have nothing to do with Alcorn and Valley's football teams.

That's beside the point. Thanks to the seven game mandate, you backdoored your way into the SCG several times after JSU blew yall off the field. We played SU (when they were decent) and Grambling, while yall played the likes of PV and Texas Southern when they weren't good at all.

We've been to the SCG three times. We can't help it if Alcorn and Valley hasn't stepped up to the plate.
