2011-12 FBS Bowl Season

Virginia Tech has to be the most over hyped team every year next to Ohio State...Man they never live up to the hype...They suck arse...

Dude Ohio State lives up their hype. We only backed into 1 bowl and that was the BCS title game we played against LSU. Missouri, W Virginia, and everybody else lost their big games and allowed LSU and Ohio State to move up to that game. Otherwise we win our Bowl games. We beat Oregon and Arkansas in the last 2 bowl games and played Texas down to the wire in the Fiesta Bowl before losing in the last minute. Yall just hate on OSU for no reason. You would think all we do is lose Bowl games. We aint Bob Stoops and OU who yall have given a pass for all the Bowl debacles he has had.

K-State would have a bigger gripe than Baylor. They beat Baylor and had a better record.

I forgot about them. Ole Man Synder turned them back into a top notch program soon as he came back from retirement. LOL.

Yep.

Not hard to see how the "masses" swallow any system of bullshat that is thrown out by the powers that be. FBS FOOTBALL only sport in the United States of America that crowns a so-called champion without the use of a playoff format. Amazing how the NCAA has all these "working playoff models" out there and are PROVEN to work, WON'T WORK FOR FBS.........(thats the lie they keep telling anyway.)

I agree. I don't care who they picked for these Bowl games before the Bamas claim folks are crying. I have said this for years that the BCS is some BS and need to be a playoffs. But they will not do it because too much money is tied to these Bowl games. That is why I laugh at the FCS playoffs. Maybe they need to go to Bowl games. LOL. If you have a playoff, it may expose some of these teams that win after 4 weeks of preparation on a neutral field. I would love a playoff and see some of these warm weather teams have to play in the cold weather. No different than the NFL playoffs. If you good, then you good no matter what the conditions.

This whole issue is the reason I don't follow any of these teams.

And since they will never go to a true playoff schedule, I never will. The whole BCS is just unfair to the schools and the players...

I'm actually not mad at the SEC. I respect the conference. I respect the conference for introducing a playoff in the mid-90s.

We should be upset with B1G head honcho Jim Delany. He's called the most powerful man in college football. If he's not on board with a playoff, it won't happen even though Delany said he KNOWS creating a playoff will bring in money not seen in the history of college football.

Oh, and if you want to call BCS executive director Bill Hancock, here is his cell number: (913) 219-1924 (straight from the BCS media guide).

Aint none of the BCS Conference Commishs want a playoff. Don't just blame the Big 10 commish. He only says what the rest of the BCS conferences think. They all have their elite attitude about this. If you open up to a playoffs and have to travel to Boise State and fugg around and get beat. Those BCS conference teams gone be mad. LOL. If you truly set up a playoff and let the higher ranked team have a home game it would make for some interesting drama.

Man, you don't understand how powerful Delany is. Why do you think those boys from Ohio State were allowed to play in the Sugar Bowl last year even though they had been suspended?

If it ever went to a 16-team playoff, the best way to do it would have first and second round games at the campuses of the higher ranked teams, and then use the bowls for the later rounds (semis and finals).

Yep. They fugged over Michigan State based on rankings. And fugged over Baylor. RG3 should be in a BCS bowl game in my opinion. Baylor got some good wins.

Technically, we are ranked higher than MSU in the final BCS rankings. Still, the sole purpose of the BCS is to make as much money as possible. All that other stuff is just window dressing.

I didn't say dude wasn't powerful. I just said he is only speaking the way ALL the BCS conferences think. Since he is the powerful one. He is the voice for all of the BCS folks. If the SEC commish didn't agree he would be campaigning for a playoff too. But he aint because his teams have won the last 5 BCS titles soon to be 6 and have the runner up also be from the SEC. LOL. In a playoffs there is more to lose for these BCS conferences if they fugg around and lose to some upstart non BCS conference team.

That's what I meant JN99. Michigan was ranked higher so when State lost it pushed them out of the equation even though they are probably a better team than Michigan. However they can't match Michigan's drawing power. Michigan alums will be all over New Orleans and money will be flowing. BTW, congrats on yall getting by my Buckeyes for a change. I hope you know that is temporary though. LOL. We will go back to kicking yall's arse next season.

I knew you werent all bad...

So what kind of ball is Les Miles and Nick Saban coaching? Straight up Woody Hayes and Bo Schembechler ball. Run first and pass if you have to and play defense and hopefully have sound special teams. That is what the Big 10 was built on. So if you hate the Big 10. Surely SEC lovers hate what Les and Nick are doing. Oh that's right, both either played or coached in the Big 10. I forgot. Aint like them mofos are doing something different than what they learned all them years in the Midwest. LOL.

Didn't Les coach under Bo when he was at Michigan? And didn't Nick coach at Michigan State? Hmmm...

Don't hate the Big Ten but they have always been over rated to me, and use to benefit by playing the weak azz PAC 10 in bowl games. Now that they have line up and beat a Sec team for a championship, we see what has happen. Big ten has power, but the Sec has power and speed the end.

Heck Saban, Urban Meyer, and Tressel are all boys and coached at Ohio State at the same time. Les coached and played at Michigan.

The Big 10 was whopping everyone until the brothers started staying home to play in the SEC once master said they could play QB and interior line. For years it was easy for Alabama to win that conference.

Chris Peterson has come out and said that the BCS need to be scrapped.

Does boise state have a big enough voice to start the tides of change? I think they would if they don't go to the Big East and always be that non-AQ that's in the top 10-15...

Nah, those cats left for the money. LOL

Exactly. Gone be interesting to see what happens when the coaching starts dropping. Look at Tenn. Muschamp going to be a bust at Florida. Mack Brown was already going to let him go. Right now Saban and Miles are best coaches. Petrino ain't going to win with all that passing. Spurrier is at the end of his career. Richt is one more underachieving season from being fired. Which is probably next year since they will be ranked high to start the season.

While I agree with him. He needs to shut up. That dude keeps turning BCS level jobs down like he scared to leave Boise. Lol.

The brothers were playing in the SWAC then.
