:smh: We used to play it when we exited the field. ...and yes sometimes during the Taylor era, we stood there and played it (marching in place).

....and I know more about JSU band than YOU. Keep that in mind.

Well you shole didn't know how we used to play GR. Go back and watch those tapes of when Taylor was draggin the Jokebox all over the field and see when we played it!

No offense Prof K but Grambling band is one of the countriest dancing units in HBCU land. Yes our DM are a little flashy but they at least do it with some style and flare. Gram be it legendary needs to exist stage left when it comes to country dancing. And the dude who's band breaks into boxes and does country dances, then brings big girls and the token white dude up front needs to exit the stage behind you.

When ever the big wigs in NCAA ever talk about the SWAC... SU band is the first thing that comes to their mind...
We are light years ahead of you country bands...

As visitors leave the museum's orientation theater, the first thing they will see is the drum cadence, Smith said. The display will prominently feature the percussion sections from FAMU and Jackson State University, as well as a montage of football pageantry from other schools around the country:lol::weee::clap:

Now I see why Dacon. said what he said about you....

You do know I played in the band at SU when we did the Senior Bowl in 96... and 95 SU band did it as well....

SU opened the door for JSU and FAMU to do the Senior bowl kid..... JSU did it the very next year after SU did it twice.....

Get your facts together bra....smh

You need to be somewhere helping Mr. Jackson raise money for that band to get to Jackson in October.
Don't worry about the Boom. Take care of home first. Thats what YOU can do.
Your City-Band need Buses and Meals.... get on it!

It's a poster on here who beleive SU is a great school yet it ranks below JSU in every catagorie known to man. Just because his band went to the Senior Bowl it opened the door for everybody else..LOL Great bands are invited period and the Boom gets and turns down it's fair share. This dude said some dumb ish like the west running the SCG in the last four years when it was 2-2 but when called out he diverted back to the 90's. This dude is a closet queer who follows the boom and thinks becasue he was in the Band he's the only Historian on bands. This dude hasn't noticed that his SMACK threads never really gain any traction from non SU posters. They never get closed due to to many comments or any of the normal classic SMACK Threads. He's a clown and will always be "Trumpet Boy"/Trumpet Dude"!!!!

You made at me because you don't know wth you are talking about.. You say SU never been to the Senior Bowl when in fact we were there FIRST and AFTER we opened the door for other HBCU's and MORE...

If we went first and was invited 2 years in a row.. we indeed OPENED doors for the rest.....
And more than just SU folk know the EAST have been weak as hell this past few years...

Just face it, you are in more of these forum with minimum to ZERO knowledge....

If reading is taught in LA school system or the Southern System, how did this translate into SU never been to the Senior Bowl.

Only JSU,GRAM and FAMU are in the NCAAA Hall of Champions.....This dude is a peice of work.
