You wrong for that last statement, P!

Tell me I'm lying Niter! Tell me! U know it's true gul.

No pass-No play came out the year AFTER I'd graduated from HS. In our school district it was ALWAYS academics FIRST and everything else second (even financial wise). I guess that's the reason why our school teachers were (are) the highest paid in the entire county. If No pass-No play had come out my sr year, we'd have been state champions because it was a lot of "just-getting-by" students sprinkled throughout the district who l8r dropped out of school or didn't finish but they "shole could run that ball, block, hit, etc.." lol Sad, but true.

It really irks the "L" out of me when I see a school district erecting a 20+million $ athletic football facility and the instructors/teachers aren't being properly compensated. I have a REAL problem w/ that.

DISD is an example of that. :slap: Pitiful. Pi$$ poor pitiful.

I watched part of that game (in between the Miami/Louisville game) and I wasnt impressed.

Those Texas teams betta not venture to the Peach State.

Really. I have co-workers who kids are in the program in Southlake (6th and 7th graders) and they are already spending $4,000 on specialty camps.

Can't buy speed. and that team I saw last night had little to none.

Keep 'em in Texas, cause if they come down south, they'll get ran off the field.

:D

No speed in Texas? LOL...it's just that both teams have a lot of speed so it was neutralized. Oh yeah...you can't buy execution either.

I guess you didn't see that white kid, Renfro (son of former Cowboy reciever Mike Renfro) who caught 3 touchdowns and racked up 200+ yards, and yes he runs a 4.4 in the 40.

You can't teach speed, but when you have it and you are the son of a NFL veteran, you have an up on your average 4.4 reciever, especially when you have access to the top facilities and endless camps. Not to mention, he played with the FLU.

You're right, you can't by speed, but you can buy someone to teach execution and technique. And thats what it really came down to.

Southlake Carroll doesn't have a lot speed on that team, but you could see discipline. Speed will only get you so far.

Sperm I did see one of the TDs by that Renfro kid. I was amazed at how he dusted that slow secondary.

overall, not impressed. Sorry

again, keep 'em in Texas and let them beat up on other slow teams.

bring em to Birmingham and us Bamas will show you that you dont have to have a 30 million dollar stadium to kick ass... I will put Hoover High up against any team in the nation.... They are ranked #4 in the nation now, but have beat the hell out of every ranked team in the state they have played. They have about 130 plus players on their team and 50 seniors.

Did you catch the commentors comments in the 3rd quarter, saying that Southlake Carroll had 6 paid Assistant Coaches, and a football budget of over $200,000.00.... For a High School!!!!!! :retard:

Not to mention the 345-member band....... :smug2:

Let's face it, SLC is a JUCO disguised as a High School....

:dude:
