Pat Fitzgerald, Northwestern football and hazing


The transfer portal was their escape route before, and it still is afterwards.

Some of these young folks need to get mentally tougher.

This can't possibly be a serious question, but then again you know as little about me as I know about you.

By mentally tougher, I mean the young men that were victimized have to get mentally tougher because in life there is no shortage of people willing to make you their prey. You either learn to defend yourself or become devoured, those are the choices.

Help me understand? If they stayed and was (allegedly) sexually abused they are supposed to be "mentally tough" and stay and continue to accept being hazed in this way?

Please see my previous post. In short, mentally tougher to determine they're not going to allow others to disrespect, abuse or victimize them. There are no shortage of people that will.

I honestly thought that this would die down after the two week suspension (that he is serving now) but it's looking inevitable that he's probably gonna be fired.
 
Guess I need to see something that tells me what type of sexual abuse. Did some players make a freshman player have sex with one of the female cheerleaders??? Or something else.

Some of the alleged acts included:
If a player was selected for “running,” the player who spoke to The Daily said, they would be restrained by a group of 8-10 upperclassmen dressed in various “Purge-like” masks, who would then begin “dry-humping” the victim in a dark locker room.
In addition to “running,” the whistleblower alleged that he witnessed the team participate in other hazing traditions in which freshmen were forced to strip naked and perform various acts, including bear crawling and slingshotting themselves across the floor with exercise bands.

In a once-a-year tradition dubbed “the carwash,” the first player said that some players would stand naked at the entrance to the showers and spin around, forcing those entering the showers to “basically (rub) up against a bare-naked man.” Upon entering the showers, the player alleged that players set up a hose they connected to the shower to spray people.

“It’s extremely painful,” the player said.

The player also alleged that he witnessed and was forced to participate in what he called a naked center-quarterback exchange, wherein a freshman quarterback was forced to take an under-center snap from a freshman center, while both players were naked.

Hmmm. Thank You. First of all, if I was one of the players asked to perform most of those acts, as hazer, or hazee, I am out of there. Hmm, way way back in the day, in high school, we may have an occasionally pop the butt with towel shower room fights, but nothing further than that.

So if one of the players spazzed and got to shooting the HOMO THUGS & BOOTY GOONS on Northwestern team over that gay shit...who would have been at fault??? Sounds like gay prison culture with a pigskin IJS

Guys were made to take snaps naked from a naked center, running naked, etc.

Not neccesarily sexual assault but definitely sexual in nature

Let me try to make it more plain, people that like to fvck with people know who to fvck with.

To give a damn about being at fault for defending yourself when you're dignity as a human being and a man is about to be violated is a severe case of misplaced values certain to lead to long term regret and hatred of one's self if the former is prioritized over the latter.

Some of you that are not quite heeding the meaning of where I'm coming from are failing to realize what has been exposed thus far is just half of the story at best. You better recognize there are number of current and ex-players that have chosen to forever suffer in silence over what happened to them on that team. Most, if not all of them, probably wish like hell they would have chosen to defend themselves over passively complying with what obviously has been a norm for that program.

I'm glad that coach got fired, and I hope every young man violated on that team, through out the years, come forward and sue North Western and name each coach individually as part of the suit.

It's time for some damn justice.

Funny how they (MSM) swept that right under the rug. Can't fanthom how any black players williingly go to 95%+ white Iowa and play for them (then again yeah I do)

Well when you DRILL into our black boys that it's NFL or NBA or bust-guess where they are going to go to? For the best chance despite the number of D2-3 and HBCU who make the NFL or find playing careers overseas.

Or the name of your school you got your degree from is more important.

If this mess has been going on since 2000s that was before Fitzgerald. Where are all those other previous coaches at? In fact when does Bill Camody and Chris Collins get looked in basketball? Only 2 coaches they has since 2000.
Fred Hill Jr who got fired for yelling at kids at another school.
Tavaras Hardy current Loyola Greyhounds coach. Who was a assistant coach and player there.
Princeton's head coach Mitch Henderson spent 11 years there.
