Ed Reed’s comments about HBCU’s

So what Ed Reed just showed future recruits is that when you don’t like something just go online and rant about it. I’m sure he’ll keep that same energy when a student athlete does the same thing about his program.

BCU should really consider cutting their losses because this will not be last time he shows his ass for the world to see.

You're just arguing to be arguing now.

SOMEBODY reported that Miami was using too many headsets. Miami was punished. Did the person reporting the violation lose their job? Doubt it. How do you know it wasn't a Black person who reported the violation - even possibly Ed Reed? How do you know?

That article proves my point that people do speak out against PWIs.

Just because it doesn't have Ed Reed making a vulgar TikTok about it means nothing.

Your point is invalid.

You're arguing for the sake of arguing and proving me right all along. You know why? Because your principles are wrong. Get out of your emotions and accept the fact that improvements can be made at HBCUs. Improvements that people who went to PWIs may have noticed and pointed out.

Why isn't wanting what is best for your university more important to you than somebody hurting your feelings? Why?
Emotions? That would be a university official cursing like a drunken sailor on social media while wearing company paraphernalia, for the entire world to see, and that's the side you're defending? Yep. This conversation is done. Sometimes it's best to be on the opposite side. ✌🏿

Have a good cry.

I've heard that helps when your feelings are hurt. Cry. Blow snot bubbles.

Then find somebody willing to do their jobs.

Maybe your feelings won't get hurt if folks would just do what they were paid to do. Novel idea. I know.

lol - only reason Miami had him on staff was due to his efforts on the field and alumni still wanting that 1990s Miami image back hoping it rubs off off on the new generation - if someone wanted him he would've been hired now

what corporate stuff Ed brings? Just cause he's a HOF what power does he have? I've never seen him on anything mainstream - he ain't Strahan lol

he skipped that line cause he was hired by another ex-NBA guy
Ed Reed could've likely stayed coaching in the NFL or went to a small PWI and worked his way up.

A lot of schools hire their athlete alums. No shame in that.

Look at your feminine self, getting all out of shape! While you take a douche, let me show you how you shot your own argument down 🤣

"How do you know it wasn't Ed Reed??

What we DO know is he didn't go on a live and do it!!!

Thanks for playing though.

NEXT!!!

Emotional men trying to call somebody feminine. The irony. You and your buddies are group-hugging because somebody hurt your feelings. He said something bad so we gonna cry real tears. Sounds like projection to me. Is there something you want to tell us? Down low? What? Not that I need to know all of that about you.

The fact that you can't separate what Ed Reed said from how he said it is telling. Men should be able to do that. But, the fact that you're stuck - triggered - in your emotions over how he said something makes your argument disingenuous. I was never talking about "how" he said what he said. Wasn't my concern at all. You can't "win" the argument with me because we aren't on the same subject.

I'm talking about practical solutions to real problems. Like men do.

You're talking about feelings. Nothing more than feelings.

lol

If I didn't know you were serious, I'd think this was a joke.

You're right. This conversation is over. It's like trying to have a rational conversation with a woman.

Ed Reed hurt my feelings ....

😂

If he failed to followed proper protocol that is an issue. Is there proof that he had not already spoken with the higher ups?. Regardless, it is not good all of the time to share in house business. And as Mandela said, "do not air your dirty laundry out in public". Besides not following the proper protocol, what did he say that was not true? We have to hold all universities including PWI's and HBCU's accountable for proper business decisions. Whether that is facilities, fiscal, community involve

Yep. Fugg them white bread Uncle Tom folks who went to PWIs. They don't emphasize or sympathize with "the HBCU experience". Have a hard time accepting things we've learned to tolerate. Things we've learned to sweep under the rug. Things we overlook and ignore. They BETTER NOT point out the inadequacies of our schools that could and should be fixed. Get out of here with that white folks thinking that schools should perform effectively and efficiently. Be clean? Fugg that white man's thinking. His brain is broken by thinking the white man's ice is colder.

Fugg them folks. HBCUs don't need their help. We're happy with our negra way of thinking. As long as the voices in the negra echo chamber are saying the same things and makes us warm and fuzzy - that's all that matters.

Fugg them folks.

Did I do it right?

While y'all are saying fugg them folks, many are saying fugg you too. Not bringing their talents, contacts, and resources to places that don't respect them. Places where they are shown that they are unwelcome and unappreciated. For a small amount of pay at a place that is unclean and disorganized and the people don't care because "that's SWAC". That's what it means to be Black. To be HBCU. You have to accept and be comfortable with half-assed sh!t. That's "the HBCU experience". The only thing done well is shucking and jiving.

In the long run, HBCU people will have to take care of HBCU problems. By yourself.

Because insular attitudes from HBCU people may provide solidarity among yourselves, but they are repulsive to others.

So ... yeah ... fugg them. And fugg you too.
BS assessment. No one is saying cover up anything or hide it. But he has no clue to speak on things without doing the work and researching some of the pitfalls. PWI's mismanage money all the time they just have more to mismanage. Those folks steal, embezzle, hook up family members etc etc. But let's ignore the facts of lack of funding, boards adding their own inept cronies to sabotage schools etc etc. Ed Reed and Deion yapping their gums with little research is the problem. Go to the meetings, go to congressional hearing and make a difference. Being a loudmouth with no real facts is the main gripe.

Just ask former LSU head basketball coach, Will Wade!
