The Sexual Harassment Stuff Going On

In no way am I being funny but I am not in any way hugging, touching, or showing any affection toward any woman outside of my wife, mother, and sister.

The one that REALLY bothered me was old man Bush. He is confined to a wheel chair and can barely move so when you take pictures with his age trying to hold his arms up is a test, or a struggle at most. Yet, he came out and explained why and apologized. These others, man this stuff is wild. We all know it is about control.

What I am waiting on are men who come out and say women sexually harassed them and see how the media carries it. I think that women do it just as much as men but don't report out fear of the macho thing.

Yet, more to the point...I'm not putting my hands on no woman. The stuff is not worth it.

You ain't lied...I'm barelly shaking hands....a head nod will do and keep on moving...I in no way want our convos misconstrued

Dude he was able to do enough to grab their asses. He even made a joke about it according to the women.

Man (and woman) this stuff has been rampant for a long long long long long time. In entertainment it goes all the way back to the casting couch. In politics it is the interns. In corporate life it is the "admin assistants". If the maid wanted to keep her job she had to put out. It exists and always has in every aspect of life.

The really interesting thing is it does not happen to ALL women (or men) and it has nothing to do with looks. If it is perceived that a person is vulnerable then the perp will attempt to push their power/control on another but if the person is perceived as one 'not to be messed with' they are rarely challenged.

The thing is not to assume anything and definitely don't invade another person's space.

LOL....exactly "according to the women" but we have not heard not one other thing about it since his apology and the reason why. Man I have taken pictures with old women and the same thing happened.

Some folks are just looking for a reason.

He hasn't denied any of it. And for some of them he wasn't even in a wheelchair.

LOL...I'm telling you I'm not even taking pictures unless my wife is in the middle. No sir!!!! My wife sticks out her hand each time a man reaches for a hug. She keeps her distance because she knows that if she says a man touched her but I'm going for him.

That's another problem I have...some of these women said they told their husbands and the husband didn't do shit....SMH

People have been chasing puddin and dyck sense the beginning of time. Nothing will change it. The problem is some folks have objectives on both sides of it. Some for gain and positions, and others for power

No need for extremes here.

As long as folks respect boundaries, personal space and understand consent (which we seem to struggle with these days) when interacting, there would be no issues.

I respectfully disagree my brother. Now, we do know some clear lines exist (i.e. slapping a chick on the azz) but some of this stuff is pretty gray.

Man please. I am a black man in America, or have you forgotten. Women with large breast....a man decides to hug them chest first...this can be deemed sexual harassment. A man shaking a woman's hand and rubbing it can be deemed sexual harassment. Any unwanted behavior.

Again I'm not hugging a woman unless it's my wife, mother, sister, selective cousins, and daughter.

I disagree as well. Everyone just needs to keep a safe distance. A student was giving me a tour of their lab about two weeks ago and made sure I keep at least 3 feet between us! lol

TP be safe good brother you have a family and your are being wise. I know a professor who does not meet with students unless the secretary is there and if the student has a problem with it he offers to meet with the student with a human resource officer. It may be over kill but this stuff is such a gray area.

Trust me, it was in the back of my mind the WHOLE time!

I think that women do it just as much as men

Man ain't that the truth. I remember at work one day, this lady had brought this cucumber to make a salad for her lunch. Now keep in mind that this cucumber was about 8 1/2 inches long and about 1 1/2 to 2 inches thick. In front of everyone in the office, she held up the cucumber, called out my name, and said: "Hey David, I don't need you anymore." I knew she meant it as a joke. and that's the way I took it. But if I had said or done something similar to her, that would have been unacceptable.

I guess what I am trying to say, is there is a double standard when it comes to what is sexual harassment. Women can get away with doing and saying stuff, that a man cannot.

Another example. I have well kept up dread locks (salt and pepper. but now more salt than pepper.) They are long and they hang to my belt line. Some women, white and Hispanic and one Asian, will come up to me, tell me how much they like my hair, and ask can they touch my hair. Now reverse the situation. Let me go up to a woman (stranger) and ask her can I touch her hair. I would probably be in handcuffs in the back of a police car.

There is a double standard. But anyway, just my opinion folks.

A part of me is glad that all of this stuff is happening, but there is a part of me that is very worried.

I think the part I am worried about is how easily someone is believed with no evidence. The same way that the threat of silence keeps victims from talking is the same way a person can be made into a victim with the threat of someone claiming sexual harassment.

I stopped holding doors for women when chicks on this board about ten years ago said it made them uncomfortable and men did it to look at their azz. So now I slam doors on broads.

Yea some of those women who posted back then could not get dates.

Bruh when I lived in DC the sexual harassment was outrageous. I was working with this lady who was in her mid 50s. Given she was a bad sister for her age. She used to always ask me to come over.
