Listen up maggots! And that's an order!
He did, he didn't know that Quinn had 1 more year of eligibility. Kind of makes me question the amount of research he put into this presentation because a simple call to Coach would have prevented this. lol
Please, allow me to retort.
1. Willie Quinn was an All-America for his SPECIAL TEAMS performance last season. His numbers as a receiver dropped last season (playing two games in monsoon/tropical storm environments will hurt your numbers). If it were SWAC PlayStation Player of the Year ... then Willie would've won hands down.
2. If Willie puts up numbers similar to 2014 (62-892-5 TDs) as a receiver AND get close to what he did on returns last year ... then you can make the case.
3. Quinn's chances of being SWAC Offensive Player of the Year and kind of directly tied to Austin Howard's success at the QB position. So voters may go chicken-and-egg when it comes to deciding Quinn over Howard. However, all that talk is null and void if Tillery leads the conference in rushing again, notches his 3rd-straight 1,000-yard season and passes Destry Wright as the conference's all-time leading rusher.
4. I knew Willie stood a chance of getting this year back when he initially didn't get cleared when he first got to Southern. Didn't have to talk to coach Odums, but I talked to others close to the program to confirm whether he was coming back for sure in 2016 (that's why I talked about him breaking the FCS record in total returns for touchdowns).
