Which SWAC school is next to hire a white head football coach?

Mississippi Valley

(Only if Comegy proves that he has no gas left in his rebuilding tank.)

A few names who would take the HC job in the Delta:

Jack Wright
Tyler Hasty
Pete Golding
Buddy Stevens (Maybe)

Well his contract is 4 years so he will get a fair chance to prove it.

The thing with those coaches (especially Stephens) is that would they even apply at Valley or any Mississippi SWAC school (McNair is in place for Alcorn now so they got their guy for next year for sure. Hughes just made it to JSU)

I don't know about football, but we need to hire Jack Doss for basketball. I'm sorry but we would be stupid this time not to hire this dude. We need our Basketball program back, and he is the quick fix. He will get us the good local talent and put local seats in the gym. This is about building and growing and sometimes we gotta do the right thing. Hiring this dude not just because he is white, but because it will be a win-win situation for us. Who cares if he leaves after five year. They way we are going we might not win for another ten years. Its not like he is a redneck hick who don't like blacks. These kids like that dude and that will go over good for us.
WOW!! Cee Dog wants a White coach??!!!!!! WOW!!! Things must be REALLY, REALLY bad in Normal.

Hell froze over & The Hill is on fire.

Jack Doss is a great coach though. We would easily be tops in the conference if we get out of our own way and contact him at the end of this season.

Cee Dog is right about Jack Doss... we wouldn't even interview a coach who has won 9 state championships and is the HEAD coach of the McDonalds All American East squad this year. Doss has coached nothing but inner city high schools in Birmingham and Huntsville his entire life. He has a style called DOSS BALL... which is fast pace high flying basketball.... He gets fans in the game. This pic is a highsschool game from last Thursday that had to be moved downtown... AAMU aint never played in front of that many folks in this city.

OK, race is a BIG issue with getting things done right on the coaching level let JSU folks tell it. But I bet u ten paychecks to a bucket of s#$t every one of these righteous JSU fans use a WHITE bank instead of a black one. And to add to their foolish train of thought when have they last supported black business? Boy our folks, smdh. You gotta love em tho.

James never applied..... that was a rumor.... Would have been a great hire.... but it would have also been another Hopson, he wouldn't have stayed long.
I don't know if he officially applied or not but my sources told me that there were talks with him. He would make a good coach but at the time, it might not have been a good fit for both sides. With the admin that is in place now, it was probably best he was not hired.

Dude, you do yourself serious disservice by talking about a subject you know little to nothing about.

JSU's one of two URBAN universities in the SWAC that's located where? In the heart of the inner city.
JSU has adopted several black owned programs and businesses. As a matter of fact, the MLK banquets awards was held on JSU's campus to honor Black businesses, entrepreneurs and supporters of Black owned businesses.
In addition to that, we have a majority Black bank located on JSU's campus since you want to bring that up.

Where's Alcorn located? In the backwoods where nobody travels to, but I'm sure I'd be wrong to say that they're not doing their part to help Black owned businesses in that area.

What black bank do you know in the Jackson/Madison/Ridgeland area? Because all banks are owned by a white person all of the good banks anyway. And you probably use a white bank because you know that black banks might "misplace" your money. Am I wrong or right?

Hook, line and sinker. First off if you can count the number of things your school is doing for black businesses you know that's a problem. Second I didn't say school, it was meant for you as a person.
Liberty Bank has two branches in Jackson and it is black owned. Just as Hope Credit Union not too far from JSU campus. But like I said, if you supported black businesses and was so pro black you would already know these things. And why do you say the white banks are better? Is that the same mentality you claim we have at Alcorn when talking bout a white coach? Smdh
Y'all ninjas need to quit

You're totally wrong in your accusation and your thinking.

Dude, Blacks had banks throughout the nation before integration until the U.S. government intentionally drove them out of business or they were bought out by larger banks. Do your history before approaching me on such a subject.
If you'd go back and read my post on the subject, you'd see that I never said Black-owned. I said majority Black bank where it caters primarily to Black folks, which is Hope Bank.
I go there for some of my banking.

Besides, people usually bank in their own neighborhood, so what's your point? There are very few Black banks left.

If a Black bank was on campus, I'd give it a chance.

There you go, back pedalling faster than Deion Sanders. Man the banks I just named are all those things you claim you're looking for. Goggle things before replying to me. I'm always on my shit. One should never speak unless they know what they speak of. Words to live by.
BTW those banks are nowhere from JSU campus. They can easily be assessed and used by you.

Dude, where did I say that was ALL JSU's doing for Black businesses? Hell, what's YOUR school doing since you're asking questions? I can almost guarantee it's not doing more than JSU.
Hope Bank IS the bank I was referring to that's located on JSU's campus and I DO service with the bank, so get your facts straight and Liberty Bank's located where I grew up, so I did know about them but I don't have to let you know.
Heck, do YOU do business with either of them? If not, then point the finger at yourself.
If you want to know what JSU's doing for Black businesses, do your own research. I merely threw a bone or two to you. It's up to you to do the rest.

You didn't even know that the Hope is on JSU's campus. LOL. I actually bank with them. Do YOU bank with Hope or Liberty?

And while you're at it, name some things Alcorn's doing to support Black owned businesses.

And while you're at that, change your sig....the part about "I won't lie and I can't make it up".
You just did both. :smh:

Hope is on your campus as well as University Ave or to people that know it still as Terry Rd. Just calm down cause I called you and your folks on that "pro black" stance y'all wanna pretend y'all standing on

You call it "calling out", I call it lying.
I just told you Hope Bank is located on JSU's campus. You said it was near the campus. You didn't even know that the bank was on JSU's campus cause google didn't tell you.

Now tell me what Alcorn's doing for the Black communities surrounding it and tell me what Black owned banks do YOU service.

This season will answer some questions for Rick. His first classes were solid for depth purposes, but this week, Valley needs Comegy to bring in some playmakers.

Stephens would need a phone call (lol), but the other guys would apply.
