Which SWAC school is next to hire a white head football coach?

Probably y'all since Spady will more than likely be in the hot seat if he doesn't do well this season. Every other team's coaching staff is pretty much secure for the time being

It will probably be Alcorn again...if I had to guess. Their last HC just left them kinda dry on their high. They found success with a white HC before. Why not try again?

1. Grambling (Will it be after Fobbs leaves (because he will apply for more FBS jobs when they come open)? I could see them taking a chance on a coordinator off the radar)

2. AAMU (the only coach on the hot seat next year. I could see them going off the beaten path next year especially if Jenkins has ASU competing for the East this year)

3. Alcorn (they did it before and enjoyed much success. Why not do it again?)

Mississippi Valley

(Only if Comegy proves that he has no gas left in his rebuilding tank.)

A few names who would take the HC job in the Delta:

Jack Wright
Tyler Hasty
Pete Golding
Buddy Stevens (Maybe)

1. Until Fobbs wins 3 or 4 SWAC titles, he will never get a FBS shot. All of this interview mess is just to show people that "a black guy was considered" for the vacancy. Also, no Louisiana HBCU will ever have a white head football coach. Mark it.

2. AAMU could possibly hire someone, but their coach is not the only coach in the hot seat.

3. Agreed

Why?

If AAMU had hired James Willis the last go round they may not be in this discussion.
James never applied..... that was a rumor.... Would have been a great hire.... but it would have also been another Hopson, he wouldn't have stayed long.

I don't know about football, but we need to hire Jack Doss for basketball. I'm sorry but we would be stupid this time not to hire this dude. We need our Basketball program back, and he is the quick fix. He will get us the good local talent and put local seats in the gym. This is about building and growing and sometimes we gotta do the right thing. Hiring this dude not just because he is white, but because it will be a win-win situation for us. Who cares if he leaves after five year. They way we are going we might not win for another ten years. Its not like he is a redneck hick who don't like blacks. These kids like that dude and that will go over good for us.

Lmao y'all wanted Odums to do something about that defense and he did. Yall gotta give him at least 2 seasons to break in new coordinators at least right

That's all he has on his current contract. Lines up perfectly. Lol

It all depends

Worm ain't going no where before his contract ends. He only has 2016 and 2017 left on his contract. Obviously he is coaching us in 2016. He ain't going to be fired after this season. SU sitting pretty. He has recruited well and we not tied to him for a long time. We can just sit back and see what he going do this season and next and if we ain't happy. We will not owe him any money. So basically Odums is coaching for his next contract which means he is going to be all in.

Y'all do realize Hopson had success because he's a good coach, not a good WHITE coach. I wonder where some of you come from.
Hopson was successful because Alcorn gave him much of what he needed to be successful...something they would not do for the Black coaches before him. Now that they have set the precedent we will see what happens with the next Black head coach.
